While still chuckling at Anthony, Joseph thought it unnecessary to make such a joke just to claim a bit more credit. After all, Joseph was not a stingy person. If it was Anthony's merit, it belonged to him; he wouldn’t take it all for himself.
Unbeknownst to Anthony, Joseph had his own concerns. He had informed Joseph with detailed intelligence from the General Mansion on the Eighteenth Floor. After reporting everything, the sound of a highball glass shattering on the floor and the scraping of a chair being pushed back could be clearly heard by everyone present.
It seemed that on the other end of the communicator, Joseph had panicked and hurriedly stood up. Sure enough, the next moment, his voice came through again, filled with tension and fear: "You, you! Are you saying that the Alien Life has a Tactical Nuclear Weapon in hand?!"
Anthony’s previously serious expression finally revealed a hint of disdain. "Yes, according to our Stealth Team's reconnaissance on-site, that Tactical Nuclear Weapon should have been taken by the Alien UFO."
Joseph’s voice suddenly turned agitated: "How can this be allowed? An Alien Life wants a Tactical Nuclear Weapon for what?!"
Anthony found Joseph's question amusing. He shifted his gaze away for a moment, glancing at the barrel of his gun, then suppressed his laughter and returned his focus to the communicator. "Are they going to blow you up? Or do you think they’ll come to cause a Nuclear Explosion among us innocent civilians?"
If he let this go, Joseph would likely be furious and use various means to make Anthony understand what it meant to be a big shot versus a small fry. But right now, it seemed there would be no opportunity for that.
On the other end of the communicator, there was no roar or reprimand from Joseph; only an explosion sound that exceeded the carrying capacity of electromagnetic waves followed by continuous high-frequency static noise.
Members of the Hawk Faction had gathered in a remote yet lavishly designed estate to celebrate with fine wine and victory. Previously, Joseph had been comfortable within the command center on the front lines. Now, under the bombardment of a Tactical Nuclear Weapon, he had been completely turned to ash without leaving a trace.
A mushroom cloud that once blossomed over Metropolis Port rose again above this estate. What rises must also fall.
The Hawk Faction, relying on their hardline attitude and methods, used various forms of violence without restraint to seize significant benefits for themselves. Yet on this day, they encountered humanity's greatest violence—the nuclear bomb.
The time for their demise had finally arrived.
High above, Xu Lie piloted the UFO, leaving in style. The Tactical Nuclear Weapon he wielded was powerful, but not overwhelmingly so; it would be a challenge to level a vast estate with it. Not to mention the risk it posed to the UFO he was flying.
He had stated that the Hawk Faction's assassination attempts would surely be met with revenge. Allowing them to operate for so long was merely to provide the audience with some drama; he hadn't had the time for retaliation until now.
The entire narrative was nearing its conclusion, and Xu Lie would no longer hold back. Taking advantage of the intelligence provided by Anthony, he activated the Optical Camouflage to stealthily track Joseph.
He traced back to the main camp of the Hawk Faction, and with one final Tactical Nuclear Weapon strike, he would ensure his revenge was thorough and decisive.
To add value to the Nuclear Explosion, Xu Lie even made use of his actor privileges, summoning cameras from Anthony and William’s side. This way, the audience could witness a Nuclear Explosion in broad daylight. As he piloted the UFO, Xu Lie's thoughts wandered creatively; perhaps starting with a Nuclear Explosion and concluding with another at the end could create a nice narrative symmetry?
