"That five billion, you don't need to give it to me. Consider it a dowry for Li Xiyun," Jiang Chen said.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, Li Xiyun was at a loss, unsure whether to cry or laugh. She wasn't close to Jiang Chen and felt overwhelmed by such a generous gift.
"Jiang Chen, you should take the money back. From now on, I have no ties with the Liu Family," Li Xiyun suddenly said, her tone serious.
"Xiyun, what are you saying? You’re pregnant!" Li Xiyun's mother quickly urged, not wanting her daughter to end up empty-handed.
"I’ll go to the hospital tomorrow to terminate it," Li Xiyun stated without hesitation.
Her mother was taken aback and immediately tried to dissuade her, but it was Li Daotian who seemed relieved. "Xiyun, Dad will accompany you to the hospital tomorrow."
"Husband, what are you saying? Xiyun has finally married into the Liu Family!" the Bride's Mother exclaimed excitedly.
"I never thought highly of it anyway. Now that Xiyun has come to her senses, it's for the best. Just look at Liu Jiyue; he’s already an old man. If Xiyun marries him, it would be a laughingstock," Li Daotian remarked.
Even if his daughter were to have an abortion, he still didn't want her marrying into the Liu Family.
"We could ask Jiang Chen to restore Jiyue’s appearance," Li Xiyun's mother suggested.
"Then you can go plead with Jiang Chen," Li Daotian replied.
"Me? Jiang Chen wouldn’t give me any face," Li Xiyun's mother acknowledged her own limitations. She glanced at Jiang Chen; although she had a thick skin, she found it hard to ask for help.
Jiang Chen looked at Li Xiyun and wasn't surprised by her sudden decision. The Liu Family might be wealthy, but their character was poor; it seemed the Li family had long regretted their choice. Now, Li Xiyun certainly didn't want to marry an old man.
"Xiyun, you can't terminate the baby," Liu Jiyue said, his voice filled with agitation despite his age. He reached out to grab Li Xiyun's hand in an attempt to persuade her, but she was resolute and pushed him away.
"Since Xiyun doesn't want to marry into your Liu Family anymore, Liu Shao, just give that five billion directly to Uncle Li," Jiang Chen stated.
Upon hearing this, Li Daotian quickly waved his hand and said, "Jiang Chen, I appreciate your kindness, but I really can't accept this money."
"Uncle, please take it! I'm not short on money!" Jiang Chen smiled slightly, his tone leaving no room for refusal.
Li Daotian had no choice but to awkwardly nod in agreement.
The cruise returned to Hong Kong Island just after seven in the evening. Jiang Chen left with Gu Yun Nan while everyone else went home. Although today's events were shocking, no one dared to speak out about them.
At Gu Yun Nan's residence, Jiang Chen encountered the Five Element Spirit Orbs.
Though Gu Yun Nan was reluctant, she had no choice but to part with them.
"By the way, Mr. Jiang, with Tu Li and others dead, the Holy Witch Cult will definitely investigate. Everyone knows about Tu Li coming to Hong Kong Island to challenge me; this matter can't be hidden," Gu Yun Nan said.
"The Holy Witch Cult is nothing more than a minor nuisance; there's no need to worry about them," Jiang Chen replied dismissively.
"I heard from Tu Li that the Saint Witch Sect Leader has now reached a divine level in their cultivation, which is equivalent to a Land Immortal. Mr. Jiang, although you are exceptionally gifted, it's best to be cautious and not let your guard down," Gu Yun Nan reminded.
"It's better if they come looking for me. If they don't, I will find the time to seek them out. The Holy Witch Cult, I believe, has no reason to remain in this world," Jiang Chen replied, his tone always calm and unruffled.
"Uh, Mr. Jiang, do you have a history with the Holy Witch Cult?" Gu Yun Nan asked.
