"Of course it's true. I know why you're here; you want to meet my grandmother, right?" Bowen Delson said with a faint smile.
"Yes, I would appreciate it if Mr. Bowie could help me," Ni Xingyi replied, her face lighting up with hope.
"I can certainly take you to meet my grandmother, but it seems we don't have any connection, do we? Please give me a reason to help you," Bowen Delson said, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"A reason?" Ni Xingyi was taken aback and looked at Li Wenhou.
In front of Bowen Delson, Li Wenhou was insignificant. He knew Bowen Delson but was merely a sycophant trying to ingratiate himself with him in hopes of gaining access to the true aristocracy of Great Britain. Bowen Delson looked down on him, rendering his words useless. However, Li Wenhou was clever; he understood that Bowen Delson was a playboy who enjoyed equestrian sports, sailing, and beautiful women.
Today, Li Wenhou had invited Qin Xushasha and Jiang Lu to join them, hoping that presenting these three Huaxia beauties to Bowen Delson would earn him some credit if Bowen took an interest in one of them. Although he also coveted Ni Xingyi, Qin Xushasha, and Jiang Lu, if Bowen Delson showed interest in any of them, he would willingly step aside.
Even if Bowen Delson did not take a liking to anyone, Li Wenhou still stood to gain from this arrangement; at the very least, he would have helped Ni Xingyi, which meant she would owe him a favor.
Li Wenhou's calculations were perfect. Seeing Ni Xingyi seeking his help now, he chuckled awkwardly and said, "Miss Ni, I can only introduce you. As for what happens next, you'll have to rely on yourself. I believe Mr. Bowie wants to see your sincerity."
"I'm not quite sure what conditions you want, Mr. Bowie. Whatever I can do, I will spare no effort," Ni Xingyi replied.
"How about this, Miss Ni? Let's have a horse race. If you win against me, I'll agree to help you," Bowen Delson suggested with a smile.
"And if I lose?" Ni Xingyi's expression grew complicated; things were more troublesome than she had anticipated. It was clear that Bowen Delson was putting her in a difficult position—she had no chance of winning against him in a horse race since the racetrack belonged to the Delson family.
"Only those who can win against me are qualified for my assistance. If you lose the race, that's fine; you can conquer me in other ways," Bowen Delson smiled meaningfully, his implication unmistakable as he eyed Ni Xingyi's figure.
Men were all the same; Ni Xingyi was smart enough to understand Bowen Delson's unspoken words. For a moment, she found herself hesitating.
"Sister Ni, go ahead and compete with him; you'll definitely win," Qin Xushasha suddenly interjected earnestly during her moment of indecision.
Qin Xushasha wasn't speaking without reason; with Jiang Chen's abilities, ensuring that Ni Xingyi won the horse race should be a piece of cake.
"Then let's have the race," Ni Xingyi nodded without overthinking it—she would race first and deal with the consequences later if she lost.
Bowen Delson didn't understand Huaxia Language and glanced at Qin Xushasha and Jiang Lu with slightly brightened eyes. What playboy could resist being captivated by beautiful women?
"Miss Ni, go ahead and choose your horse," Bowen Delson said with a smile. The white horse beside him was the best in the entire racetrack; no matter how Ni Xingyi chose her horse, she would never be able to beat him.
