In a narrow encounter, Yu Songyu had no intention of dealing with that troublesome woman. However, Li Xiuzhen had something on her mind that she couldn't hide, and she was glaring at Wang Xiuli with disdain.
Wang Xiuli seemed to have some reservations about Li Xiuzhen at first and didn’t react immediately. But later, when Li Xiuzhen spat in her direction, Wang Xiuli could no longer hold back and spoke up.
"Are you out of your mind?"
"Who are you calling crazy? You think you're something special?"
Li Xiuzhen was already on edge, and this provided her with the perfect excuse to confront Wang Xiuli. Without hesitation, she stepped up to Wang Xiuli and grabbed her hair. With a swift motion, she tossed Wang Xiuli aside.
Wang Xiuli got back up from the ground, cursing under her breath, and lunged at Li Xiuzhen with her hair disheveled. But she was no match for Li Xiuzhen; before she could even get close, Li Xiuzhen kicked her down again.
To everyone's surprise, Wang Xiuli was quite resilient and managed to get back on her feet once more, charging at Li Xiuzhen again. This time, however, Yu Songyu noticed a fierce determination in her eyes. Even though Wang Xiuli had dropped her handbag on the ground, she didn’t seem to care.
Seizing the moment while both women were distracted, Yu Songyu quickly picked up the handbag. Why bother getting involved with this mad dog? She didn’t want to dirty her hands!
Yu Songyu stepped in to intervene. Although watching Li Xiuzhen beat up Wang Xiuli was satisfying, she didn’t want any trouble for Li Xiuzhen either.
After delivering another harsh kick to Wang Xiuli, Yu Songyu finally pulled Li Xiuzhen away and started leading her down the hill.
"Xiao Yu, why are you stopping me?"
Li Xiuzhen was still feeling unsatisfied from the fight and was clearly annoyed.
"Just cool off! If you keep going like this, what if you get into trouble?"
Seeing Li Xiuzhen stand up for herself warmed Yu Songyu's heart, but she couldn’t help teasing her a little.
"Trouble? Who's afraid of her? Besides, it’s just you and me here; if she says I hit her, then I hit her?"
"Alright, you’re right. Let’s go back and have Little Old Lady cook for us!"
As Yu Songyu comforted Li Xiuzhen's emotions, she held her hand tightly as they made their way down the mountain.
As the saying goes, "Evil people have their own kind to deal with them." Although Yu Songyu disliked Wang Xiuli, she didn't want her friends to get involved in too much trouble.
After finishing her meal, Yu Songyu, suppressing her heartache, took out two individually wrapped flower cakes from the ones she had given to Yang Qinghe. After all, she had only eaten one herself, right?
"Li Xiuzhen, this is for you!"
As she stepped outside, Yu Songyu handed the flower cakes to Li Xiuzhen.
"What is this?"
"My parents sent some snacks. There aren't many, so I brought you two to try!"
"Snacks?"
Li Xiuzhen's eyes lit up, and she immediately wanted to take them out to eat.
"Eat them when you get home; it's cold outside. Be careful not to upset your stomach!"
Yu Songyu smiled as she pressed down on Li Xiuzhen's hand. This girl always got anxious when it came to food.
"Alright, then you should head back!"
Li Xiuzhen stuffed the snacks into her bag and hurried off.
For some reason, as Yu Songyu watched her leave, she felt that Li Xiuzhen exuded a strong sense of vitality.
