Yu Suihuan had just finished breakfast and was preparing to head to the Lin Industry Bureau Broadcast Station when she noticed a few Female Educated Youth from Jing City chattering as they approached her.
"What brings you here? We're not on the same route, are we?" Yu Suihuan asked, puzzled. These girls seemed eager to get close to her lately.
However, Yu Suihuan wasn't fond of it; she always felt they had ulterior motives. "Isn't there work today? The flowers are blooming all over the mountains. Why don't we go pick some wildflowers and have a picnic?" one of them suggested.
"Just a few girls?" Yu Suihuan was concerned for their safety. These sheltered girls had no idea about the dangers of the mountains.
"But there are a few Male Educated Youth with us! We’ve already discussed it; come along with us!" they insisted.
Having some Male Educated Youth around would make it safer. "Have fun, but I’ll pass on joining you!" Yu Suihuan declined, turning to leave when Liu Yingyu suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"Come on, Yu Suihuan! I really want to be friends with you. Just give us a chance! Don’t you think we get along well?"
To be honest, Yu Suihuan didn’t feel that way at all. She was different from these idle girls; she still had work to do in the space!
Recently, Bai Jie and Zheng Chengxiu had been busy in the space, even sending in excavators and loaders. If she didn’t keep an eye on them, who knew what kind of trouble they would stir up!
Seeing Yu Suihuan hesitate, Liu Yingyu continued to plead. "We just feel like we connect well together as fellow Zhiqing from all over. This is such a rare bond! Please come with us!"
Yu Suihuan felt like her arm might be pulled off at this rate but finally agreed. "Alright, alright."
"Oh, Yu Suihuan, you're the best! We'll come find you tomorrow morning!" After saying this, the girls chattered away like a flock of sparrows.
After work, Yu Suihuan took a stroll around her yard, where reality hit her hard. Ever since the two Little Old Ladies had their children—Wang Yan and Li Xiu Zhen’s little ones—they seemed less concerned about her.
She reached for a sweet potato on the table and popped it into her mouth before heading back to her small courtyard.
As soon as Yu Suihuan entered the space, she was stunned by the myriad of crystals and herbs scattered across the floor. The two of them had clearly divided their roles—one focused on gathering while the other handled sales.
"Guess what? I've recently teamed up with a boss who specializes in crystals! We don't have to worry about selling our crystal ore at all! Our ore quality is way better than the market price, and it's in high demand!"
Bai Jie rushed over and planted a hearty kiss on Yu Suihuan's cheek, her excitement palpable.
"Impressive, really great!"
Yu Suihuan hadn't expected Bai Jie's determination to be so strong; her previous company had truly underestimated her talents.
"By the way, there are still a few mountains we haven't explored. I strongly suggest you find some free time so we can go explore together. Who knows what treasures we might find?"
"That makes sense! But it’s a hassle that cars can’t reach those places. Have you considered switching to another mode of transportation?"
Yu Suihuan suggested, eager to get a clearer picture of the space.
"Switching transportation? A helicopter? Civilian ones cost tens of thousands; it's worth considering, haha!"
Recently, Bai Jie had seen a significant influx of money, giving her the feeling of being a wealthy tycoon.
"A helicopter? One that can fly in the sky?"
Zheng Chengxiu adjusted his glasses, his eyes lighting up with excitement. Although he had been busy lately, he was definitely keeping up with his nutrition and no longer looked like a mere skeleton.
With large round glasses perched on his nose and wearing cartoon pajamas, he resembled a character straight out of an animated show.
"Exactly! One that can soar through the skies!"
Yu Suihuan's eyes sparkled with laughter. She felt that these two brought such joy into her space, and every day was fulfilling.
If only she didn’t have Yang Qinghe on her mind; spending every day with them wouldn’t be too bad.
"I say, Miss Bai, since Zheng Chengxiu is our butler, shouldn’t we consider allocating some funds for him to get a few new outfits?"
"No need, no need! I have enough clothes to wear and I'm quite satisfied," Zheng Chengxiu quickly waved his hand. It didn't matter to him what he wore.
His current mental satisfaction far outweighed any material concerns.
