Zheng Chengxiu was considered an old acquaintance, and with him around, Wang Jianjun and Li Xiuzhen felt a sense of belonging.

"But I have a child!" Wang Jianjun looked down at his legs and then at the child in his arms.
"This place is absolutely safe; the child can play by themselves. Just check in regularly. Besides, there’s Lai Fu here! As for your legs, it’s not a problem. Bai Jie, please contact someone to arrange a prosthetic for him!"
"Okay!" Bai Jie nodded in agreement; she never doubted Yu Suihuan's words.
"What? What’s a prosthetic?" Jianjun and his wife came from an era where information was not as developed, so it was normal for them not to know.
"It’s an artificial leg. With it, Jianjun will be able to stand just like a normal person!"
Zheng Chengxiu's greatest hobby now was no longer reading but learning about modern information and dating.
"Can I really stand up? That’s wonderful!"
Wang Jianjun and Li Xiuzhen were both excited, feeling a surge of passion for life.
"Jianjun, Li Xiuzhen, if you have any questions, just ask them. Whatever needs to be done, just listen to Xiu Er and Bai Jie! I have something to attend to; I’ll be off now!"
Yu Suihuan sensed that something was happening outside; it seemed that Wang Zhaoran and Wang Heng had arrived.
She hurried out of the dark room and entered the house.
"Godmother!"
Wang Heng had grown quite a bit since their last meeting, carrying two large bags of items.
"Heng Er!"
Wang Heng tossed the bags onto the table and sat down next to Yu Suihuan.
"These things are for Uncle Jian Jun and Aunt Xiu Zhen!"
"You’ve been such a good boy, Heng Er, but they won’t need them anymore. You should keep them for yourself," Yu Suihuan said, adopting a mature demeanor as she playfully rubbed Wang Heng's face. Despite being much taller than her now, he still retained a youthful innocence in his features.
"They won’t need them anymore?"
Wang Zhaoran entered the room and also took a seat at the table.
"Yes! They’ve... moved on."
Yu Suihuan remained calm, pouring each of them a cup of tea without missing a beat.
"Where did they go?"
"I asked for their opinion; they wanted to go to the mountains, so I arranged for some friends to take them there!" Yu Suihuan referred to the Primeval Forest, where ancient tribes still existed and could use hunting rifles. They lived self-sufficiently, almost completely isolated from the outside world.
"It’s probably for the best. The Jian Jun family isn’t bad people; if it weren’t for their circumstances, it wouldn’t have come to this!" Wang Zhaoran sighed as he finished his tea, reflecting on their plight.
"Well, Godmother, I have some things to attend to. I just came to drop off items for Uncle Jian Jun," he said, eager to leave. With only Godfather present, it was a perfect opportunity for him to let Godmother have some time alone with him.
"Oh, if you have things to do, go ahead!"
Yu Suihuan's smile was sweet, bringing a sense of joy to those around her.
