I decided to search for the boy I had seen earlier at school.
I wanted to know why he had been staring at me and what his connection to the deceased was.
As I was intently observing the students passing by, someone suddenly tapped me on the shoulder.
"Why are you still here?"
I jumped in surprise and turned to see Fang Bo.
He was holding a notebook, seemingly ready to jot something down.
"The teacher asked me to stay behind to find that boy I saw this morning. I feel like he might be connected to the deceased," I told Fang Bo honestly.
To my surprise, Fang Bo had his own reasons for staying.
He explained that he had overheard a conversation between two girls.
They mentioned that the bracelet on the deceased's wrist resembled one belonging to their counselor, Ma Zhaofang.
However, Ma Zhaofang had resigned long ago, and they were unsure if they had mistaken it.
Fang Bo stayed behind to find those two girls and ask them for more details.
After discussing it, we decided to search for the girls together.
Fang Bo and I teamed up to look for them around the school.
I searched for the cafeteria but couldn't find it.
I had no choice but to go have lunch first.
Fang Bo and I sat in the cafeteria eating our meal.
A few students nearby were whispering about the body found in the lake.
"I heard that the body had been in the water for a long time, covered in worms!"
"Who knows? Maybe it's a drowned ghost seeking revenge!"
"Stop talking! I heard that the body was killed by someone from outside, and the murderer hasn't been found yet!"
Rumors were flying everywhere.
Fang Bo and I chose to sit in a crowded area, hoping to overhear more useful information.
However, these students were just talking nonsense, and there wasn't anything valuable to be heard.
Suddenly, I noticed two girls sitting behind Fang Bo seemed to be discussing the body discovered that morning.
