"Am I really going to die like this?" Ma'erka thought, as the seawater flowed into her eyes, causing her immense discomfort. Yet, she refused to close them. She wanted to see the world one last time before she passed, even if it was just a ray of sunlight.
Meanwhile, on the surface of the sea, Jiang Chen was battling the Blood Demon Claw. He summoned his fire attribute Spiritual Energy and formed a Spirit Fire Formation in mid-air. A surge of flames erupted, engulfing the Blood Demon Claw. Jiang Chen then infused his long sword with spiritual power, unleashing a brilliant sword aura that cleaved the Blood Cloud in the sky into two halves. Sunlight poured down once more, and the horizon transformed into a dazzling sunset.
The Blood Cloud, struck hard, gradually retreated. The entire world returned to clarity and tranquility, but the commotion from the struggling figures on the distant sea caught Jiang Chen's attention.
With a sweep of his divine sense, he noticed someone sinking beneath the waves. After all, these mortals were suffering due to his actions; he could not stand by and watch them drown. Although he could summon marine creatures for assistance, they were currently frightened and hiding due to what had just transpired. Jiang Chen had no choice but to invoke the Avoid Water Technique and dive into the ocean.
Ma'erka's consciousness was fading, but just as she was about to close her eyes, she seemed to see someone appear before her. Suddenly, she was lifted and shot upwards rapidly.
Jiang Chen used a thread of spiritual energy to heal Ma'erka's injuries. Only then did she realize she was cradled in his arms, which filled her with excitement.
Jiang Chen flew out of the water with Ma'erka in his embrace and stood on the surface of the sea. The yacht was tilted, half submerged in the water; however, due to the recent upheaval caused by the Blood Cloud, many people had already begun to gather nearby. Jiang Chen could see boats approaching.
With a wave of his hand, he restored the yacht to its original state and placed Ma'erka safely aboard without saying a word. Just as he was about to leave, Ma'erka called out to him, "Thank you for saving me! Are you a god?"
To his surprise, Ma'erka spoke in Huaxia Language, albeit somewhat clumsily; still, Jiang Chen understood her perfectly. It seemed that Huaxia was growing stronger by the day, with many foreigners learning its language.
"Forget what happened today; consider it unseen and do not speak of it. Help will arrive soon," Jiang Chen said before turning away and returning to the island.
Ma'erka watched him leave with a smile spreading across her face. She had guessed correctly; this god in her heart truly was a Huaxia person. Overwhelmed with excitement, she silently thanked her admiration for Huaxia that had led her to learn Huaxia Language—it had come in handy today.
"I wonder when I can see him again," Ma'erka murmured as she gazed towards the island with hopeful and determined eyes.
Unbeknownst to Jiang Chen, his appearance had captured the heart of a young girl. Upon returning to the island, he found that Blood Ancestor had completely transformed into a human form—a white-haired old man clad in a blood-red robe. With an aquiline nose and deep-set eyes that appeared ghostly pale, he looked like a specter. However, now he exuded no aura and seemed utterly defeated.
He had lost; his prideful Blood Demon Suppression Formation had proven ineffective against Jiang Chen. He did not doubt the power of his formation since the Blood Demon had indeed manifested its claw; yet Jiang Chen still emerged victorious—this only indicated that Jiang Chen's strength surpassed anything he could have imagined.
Brower's earlier arrogance had vanished entirely; no matter how much he wanted to deny it, reality lay bare before him.
