This is a world where strength speaks for itself, and Jiang Chen possesses enough power to intimidate the blood clan.
"Your parents? Isn't Count Smithan your father?" Jiang Chen asked.
"Mr. Jiang, I will explain this to you later. Can you help me with this?" Monroe looked at Jiang Chen with hopeful eyes, filled with anticipation.
Jiang Chen smiled faintly and said, "You can speak to Brower about that."
With Jiang Chen backing her up, Monroe found her courage and looked up at Brower to make her request.
"What is your relationship with Lielmora Count and Countess?" Brower furrowed his brow, looking seriously at Monroe.
"I am their daughter," Monroe took a deep breath, summoning her courage to admit it.
Today, she was all in; she had placed all her hopes on Jiang Chen. Without him, she wouldn't have dared to acknowledge her identity in front of Brower.
Upon hearing this, Brower's expression darkened immediately, filled with barely contained anger.
"Ha! Your parents have committed grave sins. They are imprisoned in the forbidden area to atone for their crimes. Mr. Jiang, this is a private matter of our blood clan; please do not interfere," Brower said coldly.
Monroe felt anxious and quickly looked at Jiang Chen, fearing he might refuse to get involved.
"Release her parents," Jiang Chen stated firmly.
"Mr. Jiang, now that you have obtained the Divine Bone Order, you are no longer connected to our blood clan. You have no right to meddle in our internal affairs," Brower retorted angrily.
"I will say this one last time: release her parents. I will not repeat it a third time," Jiang Chen's tone turned serious, his gaze sharp and filled with killing intent. Brower felt a chill run down his spine; he lost the will to confront Jiang Chen.
"Fine, I will release them," Brower said, secretly thinking that he could always find a reason later to dispose of Monroe's parents by claiming they had died in the forbidden area. Jiang Chen would have no grounds to blame him.
Just as Brower reveled in his malicious thoughts, Jiang Chen's voice rang out again.
"If Monroe's parents do not return safely today, then you have no need to live either," Jiang Chen warned flatly, as if seeing through Brower's intentions.
Brower had no choice but to nod submissively. The group then boarded the helicopter and left the island.
After the helicopter departed, several boats approached. However, by that time, the strange phenomena had vanished, and the sea was calm once more. The boats saw the yacht where Ma'erka was located and quickly surrounded it to inquire about what had happened.
Since Jiang Chen had instructed Ma'erka not to make any announcements, Ma'erka complied and simply stated that what had occurred was a natural phenomenon with nothing amiss. Although Ma'erka's friends wanted to speak up, they understood they had no evidence; if they mentioned anything about a battle between gods and demons, they would likely be considered fools or even invited for questioning. Thus, they stood united with Ma'erka and described the earlier events as a natural occurrence.
And so this matter came to an end. Ma'erka and the others boarded another boat to return to the city.
Brower took Jiang Chen and Monroe back to Weytings Castle before going to release Monroe's parents. Due to Jiang Chen's warning, Brower could not harm them and ultimately returned them safely.
Before Monroe's parents returned, Monroe recounted the entire story to Jiang Chen in detail. After listening, Jiang Chen couldn't help but chuckle.
