"Who is your grandfather?" Jon asked, as an elder he found it beneath him to argue with an ignorant and arrogant junior.
"Why should I tell you? I haven't even asked who you are! I don't recall seeing you before. How dare you intrude into our Delson Family? You must be tired of living," Bowen retorted coldly.
"Bowen is my grandson. As for his grandfather, he has passed away. Who are you to come here and demand my grandson kneel and apologize? It's utterly ridiculous," Meng Li stepped forward, sizing up Jon with an air of arrogance.
Meng Li did not recognize Jon, but Jon recognized her. " Meng Li, upon seeing me, shouldn't you call me uncle?" Jon smiled. According to their family hierarchy, Meng Li was Jon's niece and should rightfully address him as uncle.
Upon hearing this, everyone present was stunned, their eyes wide with disbelief as they looked at Jon. Meng Li was especially taken aback; she had always been proud and cold in nature, having lived over seventy years without anyone asking her to call them uncle.
"Old man, are you out of your mind? How dare you claim any relation to our Delson Family? With your appearance, do you really think you can be my grandmother's uncle? You should take a good look in the mirror; our Delson bloodline is among the noblest in the world—how could you possibly pretend to be one of us?" Bowen scoffed.
Having lived for thirty years, he had never heard of his grandmother having an uncle whom he did not know.
"I do have an uncle; unfortunately, there are very few left alive now. Your age does not qualify you to be my uncle—do you really think this joke is funny?" Meng Li said sternly, believing Jon was merely jesting.
"My name is Jon Delson. When I left the family, Meng Li, you must have been just a few years old. However, I believe you've heard of my name," Jon replied with a calm smile.
Jon's words fell like a heavy stone into a lake, causing an immediate uproar. Older individuals certainly recognized Jon Delson; even if he were no longer part of the Delson Family, he had spent years building a vast fortune in the United States and had become a super-rich tycoon known by many.
However, those who knew of Jon could not help but feel puzzled; rumors had circulated that Jon had long since died or had become incapacitated. Yet here stood this vibrant and energetic man before them—Jon Delson himself.
