At this moment, no matter how unwilling he felt inside, there was nothing he could do. The arrival of Jon had already cost two lives, and this was no laughing matter.

The three elders spoke in unison.
"Opposition is invalid; your combined votes do not even match mine," Jon sneered.
"Ha ha, Jon, we are selecting a Clan Leader for the Delson Family. Bringing an outsider here is against the rules," one of the elders with a big beard scoffed.
"Weren't you all accompanied by outsiders as well? Besides, do you know who Mr. Jiang is to me?" Jon replied with a grin. "Mr. Jiang is my master and does not count as an outsider."
Jon's words were as impactful as Jiang Chen's earlier display of power, leaving the members of the Delson Family dumbfounded. Although they were reluctant to acknowledge Jon as one of their own, there was no doubt about his social status. Even without the Delson Family's prestige, Jon was a billionaire and a super-rich individual; someone like him could even run for President of the United States. Yet here he was referring to a Huaxia person as his master—this was simply unbelievable.
"If he is your master, then you are even less qualified to be the Clan Leader of the Delson Family. Our Clan Leader holds a noble status; serving a Huaxia person would tarnish our family's reputation," the elder with the big beard seized the opportunity to retort.
The elder with the big beard was of the same generation as Meng Li and was Jon's uncle. He had thought victory was assured; he had been winning hearts and minds during this time, and if elections were held, his vote count would surely be the highest—there was no doubt that he would claim the position of Clan Leader. However, Jon's sudden emergence disrupted his plans, making him more agitated than anyone else and naturally leading him to oppose Jon most vigorously.
The other two elders chose to observe for now, letting the elder with the big beard take the lead.
"The Delson Family is nothing but a minor concern; do you think it can catch my master's eye?" Jon laughed. You all heard what Jon said; if you support him for Clan Leader, you will be pushing our Delson Family into a pit of fire and becoming our family's traitors! Hurry up and stand with me!" The elder with the big beard shouted again.
Those who had originally stood behind Jon began to waver, and many of them left his camp.
