Xiao Ming wore a resolute expression as he continued to command the Human Mecha Legion to launch a fierce assault on the Resource Star. Surrounding nations urged caution.
"Xiao Ming, what if the Starry Beasts from the Red Zone and Purple Zone come out? Who will deal with them?"
"Don't even mention the Red Zone and Purple Zone; how will we handle the Blue Zone Starry Beasts? You're focused on attacking, but who will defend against the Blue Zone Starry Beasts? If they breach the Resource Star, it would be catastrophic. How can our Master Mechanics fight against high-level Starry Beasts?"
Facing their questioning, Xiao Ming remained unfazed. "Humanity has been stuck in a defensive posture for years without any progress. Today, I’m willing to take a gamble."
"What are you betting on?" Commander Eagle Sauce of another nation asked angrily.
"I'm betting that as long as the Blue Zone Starry Beasts are not completely wiped out, the Purple Zone won't act recklessly. If we are constrained by certain rules, then surely their Mechanical Beasts must follow some guidelines too. Otherwise, why have those Starry Beasts only appeared during the Beast Tide over all these years? If they wanted to destroy us, they would have done so long ago."
"Even if the Purple Zone and Red Zone Starry Beasts won't act before the Blue Zone Starry Beasts are dead, what about the Blue Zone? Who will defend it?"
"I have Lu Ziye," Xiao Ming replied calmly.
When other commanders heard the name Lu Ziye, they paused for a moment in surprise.
Right, the Dragon Kingdom still had a Master Mechanic who had now grown significantly.
"Can he really hold off all the Starry Beasts from the Blue Zone by himself?" They exchanged glances filled with skepticism toward Xiao Ming. Did he really intend to rely on Lu Ziye to carve out territory for the Dragon Kingdom while marginalizing them?
In the Blue Zone, at the Star Gate, Lu Ziye arrived quickly. Due to his previous ambush at Aoken Mountain Range, there weren't many Starry Beasts around the Star Gate. After being struck by the stationed troops here, none had entered through the Star Gate to reinforce the Resource Star.
However, at this moment, dozens of pairs of beastly eyes within the massive Star Gates were fixated on Lu Ziye.
"Thank you for your attention!" Lu Ziye thought sarcastically.
Roars erupted from within the Star Gate as the beasts bared their teeth at him, ready to pounce.
Piloting his Surge Mecha, Lu Ziye hovered in mid-air and drew his Red Storm Military Blade, pointing it at the Star Gate. "Are you coming out on your own or should I come in and kill you? Regardless of their strength, he needed to project confidence. Yet deep down, Lu Ziye felt uncertain; he had never fought against Starry Beasts and didn’t know how formidable they truly were.
Strangely enough, those Starry Beasts seemed to be in a mindless rage but remained completely still, which puzzled Lu Ziye.
It was clear that they were ready to attack, but why weren't they coming out? Was there some kind of rule at play? The standoff continued until an hour later.
Lu Ziye had already leveled up in the Blue Zone, and after reaching a certain level, killing Level Mechanical Beasts would only yield Energy Progress, further slowing down his leveling speed. While his energy level could still be slightly enhanced in the Blue Zone, his attack speed could no longer be increased. With his current level, the highest Mechanical Beasts here were only at a certain level. To boost his attack speed in the future, he would have to venture into the Purple Zone.
The Resource Star's occupation rate had once again broken records, yet the Blue Zone had not initiated a new Beast Tide; the previous Beast Tide was still ongoing, which was good news. However, another unsettling piece of information began to spread: it seemed that the Blue Zone Stargate and the Starry Beasts were released from some kind of restriction once humanity's occupation rate in the Gray Zone reached a certain threshold. They began to pour out of the Star Gate, charging wildly toward Lu Ziye.
Now it made sense. No wonder those Starry Beasts had only lingered inside the Star Gate during previous Beast Tides, refusing to come out. It turned out they were under some sort of restriction, and breaking this restriction was tied to the Resource Star's occupation rate. This was astonishing. As Lu Ziye reflected on everything that had happened today and pieced together the information, he arrived at this conclusion.
Perhaps it was also related to what Xiao Ming and Legion Commander Liu Tianwei had mentioned about the relics in the Mine Area—those Ancient Mechanical Beasts and Metal Wreckage.
