"Alright..." He could only force a smile as he took off the cloth draped over him. It was indeed cloth, made from the torn remnants of Old Lu's old clothes, fashioned into a makeshift "outfit." He swam into the pool and climbed onto the rocks, but the current was so strong that he struggled several times to get up. Just as he managed to pull himself up, he was knocked back down by the cascading water, his body pressed against the stone. Fortunately, the stone had been worn down by the water into numerous depressions, making it easier to stay put without being swept away. He crawled into the outermost depression, where the water above pounded down on him like a giant hammer, threatening to shatter his insides. As he activated the Refining Body Nerve technique, he felt himself gradually adapting to the impact of the water, sensing a slight increase in his strength. 0

Meanwhile, Old Lu had begun enjoying a life of roasting meat, drinking wine, and sleeping by the shore. 0

... 0

In the blink of an eye, Mo Wen had spent three days beneath the waterfall. During this time, aside from brief moments when he could come out to eat, he remained under the cascade. Despite this effort, he had barely covered half the distance. To expedite this experience and hasten his growth, he resolved to eat as little as possible in the coming days. 0

After more than half a month, Mo Wen finally stood up in the middle of the waterfall; he was ready to emerge. However, Old Lu only allowed him one night of rest before tossing him under an even larger waterfall. 0

Back and forth he went countless times until he finally stood upright in the center of the last waterfall under Old Lu's "supervision." At that moment, he felt ten times stronger than before. He wanted to confront Old Lu and settle all his grievances from this period, but soon his enthusiasm waned. He didn't know how powerful Old Lu truly was; however, it was clear that all those large stones beneath the waterfalls had been placed there by Old Lu beforehand—there was no way each waterfall would conveniently have such a large stone. 0

Mo Wen climbed ashore but barely had time to feel elated before he fell asleep. When he awoke, he found himself lying inside Old Lu's large cauldron—a situation he had grown accustomed to. 0

"Come out; we're heading to the next place," Old Lu said as he stowed away the cauldron. It was so large that Mo Wen couldn't fathom where it was kept. He had asked Old Lu about it before, but Old Lu promised to tell him when the time was right. 0

This time, Mo Wen remained silent and followed Old Lu upstream along the river. As they progressed, Old Lu's pace quickened; Mo Wen could only keep up with hurried steps that gradually turned into a run. They ran for nearly two days. 0

Eventually, Old Lu stopped at the riverbank. This was merely a small tributary of the Dahe River, about seven zhang wide; calling it a tributary felt more like referring to a channel for diverting water. The water looked murky—almost like sludge. 0

"This is specially prepared for you by Old Man; let's start here. You've fallen too far behind your peers, so I have no choice but to give you some tough love—though it's a bit rudimentary," Old Lu explained. 0

"Old Lu is amazing! Is this what they call moving mountains and creating seas?" Although aware of Old Lu's prowess, Mo Wen was still astonished by how such a large channel could be created. 0

"Of course! You should see who I am; this is nothing... Now let's begin. This channel is one Bird Journey long; you need to walk through it first." 0

"I meant for you to walk in the water..." Old Lu sighed in exasperation as he watched Mo Wen wade upstream along the edge of the channel. 0

With no other choice, Mo Wen stripped off his cloth and jumped into the water. The water reached up to his neck, and as soon as he entered, it sparked a sense of familiarity within him—as if he had experienced this before. Lost in thought for just a moment, he almost plunged face-first into the water. The current was swift, like high-pressure water mixed with a significant amount of silt; the bottom of the Water Channel felt hard and stone-like beneath him. 0
