I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Officer Li.
I quickly answered the phone and asked, "Officer Li, what's going on?"
Officer Li's tone sounded heavy.
He said, "Qin Feng has recanted her statement at the detention center."
I was taken aback and asked, "What?"

I was stunned.
If Wu Jiajia didn't bully Qin Feng, then Qin Feng's motive for murder would no longer hold.
The case had lost its significance.
I hurriedly asked, "Did Qin Feng say why she wanted to kill Wu Jiajia?"
Officer Li replied, "No."
"She just insists that Wu Jiajia never bullied her."

We finally understood Wu Jiajia's pain and despair.
We also grasped what Qin Feng meant by "helping her."

Qin Feng bit her lip and said, "It was a month ago."
A month ago, Wu Jiajia confided in Qin Feng about her experiences.

Since then, Yao Qiang frequently subjected Wu Jiajia to sexual assault.
Wu Jiajia felt immense pain and despair.
She contemplated suicide multiple times but was afraid of the consequences it would bring.
Thus, she turned to Qin Feng, asking him to help her end her life.
Upon learning about Wu Jiajia's ordeal, Qin Feng, out of sympathy for her suffering, momentarily softened and agreed to her request.
She did not realize the severity of her actions until she was sentenced and came to understand her mistake.
Officer Li felt frustrated about this situation.
He believed that school education should include basic legal knowledge.
