In the arena, Huo Han took off his shirt, revealing his well-defined muscles.
His opponent, the "Devil," was a towering figure shrouded in a black cloak, obscuring his features.
"Begin!"
The Devil launched a fierce straight punch right from the start, and Huo Han barely managed to dodge it.
"That was fast!" gasps erupted from the audience.
My heart raced. The Devil's skills were clearly not those of an ordinary boxer.
"Worried?" Xiao Yuanshan whispered in my ear. "The Devil is the Underground Boxing King of Thailand; he has never lost."
I glared at the arena. "Was this your plan all along?"
"Smart," he chuckled softly. "But it's too late now."
On stage, Huo Han took a heavy punch, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
The Devil's fighting style was peculiar, seemingly tailored to counter Huo Han's moves.
"What do you really want?" I turned to confront Xiao Yuanshan.
"I just want Master Huo to understand that being an undercover agent comes with a price."
I felt a chill run through my body. "You... you know?"
"I've known about the police's plan for a long time," he said, his eyes filled with malice. "Huo Han has been undercover beside me for three years. Did he really think I wouldn't notice?"
"Then why..."
"Why not kill him?" Xiao Yuanshan laughed. "Because I want him to watch as everything he tried to protect is destroyed right before his eyes."
A dull thud echoed from the stage as Huo Han crashed heavily to the ground.
The devil stepped forward and kicked him squarely in the chest.
"Stop!" I screamed.
Xiao Yuanshan held my shoulder firmly. "The show has just begun."
At that moment, Huo Han suddenly rolled over and swept his leg towards the devil's face.
"Bang!"
The black cloak was kicked aside, revealing the devil's true identity.
Gasps filled the room.
It was a young face, identical to Huo Han's.
"How is this possible..." I widened my eyes in disbelief.
Xiao Yuanshan smiled even more happily, "Surprised? This is the 'gift' I prepared for Huo Han."
On the stage, two identical figures faced each other.
"Long time no see, brother," the devil sneered.
Huo Han's face turned pale. "Ho Chen..."
"You remember me?" The devil—no, it was Huo Chen—grinned maliciously. "A few years ago, when you left me all alone in Thailand, you weren't so nostalgic."
I finally realized that Huo Han had a twin brother.
"I had no choice..." Huo Han said in pain.
"Oh, so to be an undercover cop, you can sacrifice your own brother?" Huo Chen charged forward, his fists filled with murderous intent.
The two of them became entangled in a fierce battle, each strike aimed to kill.
"You have no idea what I went through in Thailand!" Huo Chen roared. "I was sold by human traffickers to fight in underground matches, nearly dying in that cage!"
"I'm sorry..." Huo Han was struck with a heavy punch.
"What good is saying sorry now!"
I turned to Xiao Yuanshan, "Did you save Huo Chen?"
"That's right." He said proudly, "When I found him in Thailand, he was on the brink of death. I gave him a new life and a chance for revenge."
On stage, Huo Chen suddenly pulled out a dagger.
The cold light flashed as Huo Han's arm was slashed, leaving a deep wound.
"Stop!" I rushed toward the arena.
Xiao Yuanshan blocked my path, "Don't be hasty, the real show is yet to come."
"What do you want?"
"Very simple." He narrowed his eyes, "Let Huo Han kill his brother with his own hands, or be killed by him. Either way, he will never have peace in this life."
I watched the brothers fight on stage, my heart aching like it was being torn apart.
