Yun Che stood at the tip of the Godslayer Spear, with turbulent black waves surging beneath him. The Soul Fire entwined around the spear flickered erratically, and Xiao Qingli's voice drifted in the wind: "Three thousand miles northeast, Gui Xu Zhi Yan... is the entrance to the Heavenly Emperor's Tomb."
He lowered his gaze to the Dark Silver Star Pattern in his palm, its markings already spreading up to his neck—each time he consumed the power of the Heavenly Emperor, demonic energy eroded an inch of flesh. Suddenly, a massive whirlpool erupted from the seabed, pulling countless remains of the Starfall Clan into the abyss, their bones assembling into a menacing Warship.
"Board the Xinghai Boat and cross the Wujian Sea."
The Godslayer Spear hummed as it pointed the way, and Yun Che stepped onto the ship made of bones. The ship's prow suddenly opened its mouth, and within its eye sockets flickered Bai Ruoyou's Soul Fire: "Do you know what lies beneath Gui Xu Zhi Yan?"
Before he could respond, the Warship plunged into the whirlpool. In that moment of distorted time and space, Yun Che saw millions of decaying hands reaching out from the depths, attempting to drag him into eternal night.
Deep within Gui Xu Zhi Yan, Nine Bronze Pillars supported a towering mausoleum gate. Chains coiling around their shafts were adorned with skulls of the Starfall Clan, and thick Black Blood oozed from the cracks in the gate, forming a line of blood letters:
"Godslayer, forever fall into oblivion."
Yun Che's Dark Silver Star Pattern suddenly surged with power, causing the Godslayer Spear to uncontrollably lunge toward the mausoleum gate. The instant the spear tip touched the door, all the skulls on the Bronze Pillars opened their eyes simultaneously, chanting mixed with screams forming a piercing demonic sound:
"Starfall Remnants... daring to intrude upon the Imperial Tomb... shall suffer heart extraction..."
The Black Blood transformed into a torture platform as twelve Wu Mian Stone Statues closed in with knives. Their blades were etched with Xing Wen, which were indeed the weapons used in the massacre of the Starfall Clan!
"Heart extraction?" Yun Che sneered as he allowed the blade to pierce his chest. "You tried that three hundred years ago!"
The Dark Silver Star Pattern crushed through the blades, and the backlash obliterated the statues into dust. The Black Blood torture platform collapsed as the mausoleum gate thunderously swung open—
Behind it lay an inverted starry sky, where each star was a cage holding the souls of generations of Starfall Clan warriors.
The wails of these souls resonated silently in vacuum, and Yun Che's Dark Silver Star Pattern flickered wildly. The Godslayer Spear suddenly slipped from his grasp and shot toward one of the stars, where a figure emerged from within—a sight that sent shockwaves through him—
It was his father from three hundred years ago!
"Che'er... run..." Xu Ying struggled to speak, "The Heavenly Emperor's true body is..."
Before he could finish, the stars abruptly constricted, crushing Xu Ying into light dust. The Godslayer Spear wailed as it returned to him, now bearing a crack.
"Are you done playing?"
The voice of the Heavenly Emperor echoed from deep within the starry void. Yun Che looked up to see a colossal face formed by converging stars, its pupils swirling with six paths of Reincarnation: "Do you think the Godslayer Spear can harm me? It is merely my Fish Bait."
The star cages exploded one after another as soul power surged into the giant face. Black Blood seeped from the crack in the Godslayer Spear, revealing an imprint of the Heavenly Emperor on its handle!
"Bai Ruoyou didn't tell you?" The Heavenly Emperor's mocking laughter shattered meteors. "It was I who taught her to forge the Godslayer Spear back then, using Xing Yun and your entire clan's blood to create this... Soul Locking Device."
Countless fragments of memories forcibly flooded into Yun Che's Sea of Consciousness:
—Bai Ruoyou knelt at the feet of the Heavenly Emperor, receiving blueprints for forging;
She personally lured her kin into the Refining Furnace, carving the God-Slaying Inscription with tears of blood. In the final moment, she cast Yun Che's infant swaddling into the void and turned to swallow the Demon Seed bestowed by the Heavenly Emperor.
"Why?!" Yun Che screamed, the Dark Silver Star Pattern nearly tearing through his skin. The Heavenly Emperor pointed his fingertip at his brow: "Because only extreme hatred can allow the Godslayer Spear to recognize its master... and now, it's time to close the net."
The Godslayer Spear was turned and thrust toward Yun Che's heart, its Heavenly Emperor's Mark shining like the blazing sun.
