After gathering their belongings, Nezha and the now somewhat restored Ao Bing walked towards Shen Gongbao. The once proud and arrogant history professor now resembled a bound snake, lying helplessly on the ground, his eyes filled with resentment and fear.
"Why did the Dragon King appear?" Shen Gongbao gritted his teeth and asked. "He was supposed to be..."
"My father may no longer be in this world, but his will still guards the Dragon Gate," Ao Bing said calmly. "The betrayal you committed was something he foresaw long ago."
Shen Gongbao let out a cold laugh. "Naive! Do you think this will stop me? As long as the Dragon Scale exists, I can start over at any time. You cannot guard it forever!"
"But we can take away your chance to try again," Ao Bing's gaze hardened as he pulled out a small vial containing a light blue liquid. "This is the Sealing Potion. Drink it, and your serpent demon powers will be permanently sealed. You will no longer be able to use illusions or manipulation."
Shen Gongbao's eyes widened in terror as he struggled desperately. "No! Don't do this! Without power, what's the difference between me and a dead man?"
"This is what you brought upon yourself, Shen Gongbao," Nezha said coldly. "You used Li Ming in an attempt to harm Ao Bing, nearly opening the Dragon Gate and causing disaster. This is the most merciful punishment."
Ao Bing stepped forward, forcibly prying open Shen Gongbao's mouth and pouring the potion inside. Shen Gongbao thrashed violently but was powerless to resist. As the potion took effect, smoke erupted from his body, and he let out a piercing scream before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
"Is he... dead?" Li Ming asked in horror from the side.
"No," Ao Bing shook his head. "He has only been stripped of his powers. When he wakes up, he will be an ordinary person with no super abilities and no memory of the Dragon Tribe."
"What do we do with him now?" Nezha asked. "We can't just leave him here."
Ao Bing pondered for a moment. "We can notify Aunt Taiyi; she will know how to handle this."
Nezha nodded, took out his phone, and dialed Aunt Taiyi's number. After briefly explaining the situation, Aunt Taiyi said she would come immediately to handle it and advised them to take Li Ming back to rest first.
Hanging up the phone, Nezha looked at the confused Li Ming. "Do you remember what happened?"
Li Ming rubbed his temple. "I remember Professor Shen Gongbao asked me to find something... then it got a bit fuzzy. Did I do something terrible?"
"You were under control," Ao Bing explained. "But it's okay; it's not your fault. Now that Shen Gongbao has been subdued, you won't be in any trouble."
Li Ming looked gratefully at the two of them. "Thank you... I can't imagine what would have happened without you."
Ao Bing and Nezha helped Li Ming leave the laboratory, leaving Shen Gongbao for Aunt Taiyi to deal with. On the way back, the three remained silent, each lost in thought about the events of the night.
Upon returning to the dormitory building, Li Ming bid farewell to the two and went to his own room to rest. Nezha and Ao Bing, meanwhile, dragged their weary bodies back to Room 412.
As soon as they entered, both let out a sigh of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted. Nezha carefully placed the Dragon Pattern Items and Dragon Scale on the table, while Ao Bing took out a wooden box and safely stored the Dragon Scale inside.
"That was quite a scare tonight," Nezha said as he plopped down onto his bed, exhaling deeply. "I almost thought we were done for."
Ao Bing nodded, finally showing signs of exhaustion on his face. "Yeah, if it weren't for my father's will suddenly appearing, the consequences would have been unimaginable."
"Do you really think that was your father?" Nezha asked curiously. "I thought he had..."
"Died, yes," Ao Bing said softly, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. "But the will of strong warriors from the Dragon Tribe lingers for some time even after they pass, especially in critical moments. Tonight might have been his final protection."
Nezha fell silent for a moment, unsure of what to say to comfort his strong yet lonely companion. Finally, he simply said, "You are not alone, Ao Bing. No matter what happens, I will always stand by your side."
Ao Bing looked up at Nezha, a glimmer of emotion in his eyes. "Thank you, Nezha. If it weren't for you tonight, I might have..."
"Hey, don't say that," Nezha waved his hand dismissively, revealing his signature sunny smile. "We are partners, remember? Water and Fire Harmonized, invincible in this world!"
Ao Bing let out a soft laugh, the sadness in his eyes gradually fading away. "Yes, Partner."
