Outside, a shooting star streaked across the night sky, leaving behind a brilliant trail of light. Nezha closed his eyes and silently made a wish in his heart: he hoped Ao Bing would be safe and happy, and that one day, they could meet again.
That night, Nezha slept exceptionally soundly. In his dreams, he found himself standing on a lush green field, beside a Blue-Haired Boy. Together, they guided a group of lively children playing soccer. The sun shone brightly, laughter filled the air, and everything felt so perfect.
The next day, Nezha woke up early and eagerly helped his mother prepare breakfast before joining his father for morning exercises. As they jogged along the park's path, their conversation was more open and profound than ever before.
“Dad, do you think I would make a good Football Coach?” Nezha asked. “My skills are decent, but teaching others is a different matter.”
Li Jing pondered for a moment before responding earnestly, “A coach needs more than just technical skills; they also require patience, insight, and leadership abilities. You have a natural charm that inspires others—something many coaches lack. If you can learn to be patient and meticulous, I believe you will become an excellent coach.”
Nezha looked at his father in surprise; he hadn’t expected such a detailed and thoughtful assessment. In the past, his father rarely offered such serious evaluations of his strengths and weaknesses.
“Thank you, Dad,” Nezha said gratefully. “I will work hard in that direction.”
After returning home, Nezha began to meticulously plan his future in his notebook: first obtaining a basic Football Coach certification while organizing small soccer training sessions at school to gain experience; during the summer and winter breaks, he would seek internships at youth Football Clubs to understand the responsibilities and requirements of professional coaches; before graduation, he aimed to achieve higher-level coaching qualifications to lay the groundwork for becoming a professional coach.
Looking at this detailed plan filled him with anticipation and determination. He knew this path would not be smooth and would come with various difficulties and challenges, but he was willing to fight for his dreams without regrets.
Before leaving, Li Jing presented Nezha with a special gift—a diary from his youth where he recorded his dreams and insights.
“This is my diary from my time at military school,” Li Jing said softly. “It contains my dreams, struggles, and setbacks from that period. Although I ultimately did not achieve those dreams, those days spent pursuing them remain some of my most cherished memories. I hope it inspires and encourages you.”
Nezha carefully accepted the diary, feeling the depth of his father's emotions and trust. It was the first time he had seen this softer side of his father so clearly—the young man who once brimmed with dreams and passion.
"Thank you, Dad," Nezha said sincerely, "I will cherish this gift and every day of pursuing my dreams."
After bidding farewell to his parents, Nezha boarded the train back to school. Outside the window, the scenery rushed by, but Nezha's heart felt more determined and fulfilled than ever. He knew that no matter how difficult the road ahead might be, he was no longer lost, for he had found what he truly wanted.
And all of this was thanks to the Blue-Haired Boy, the one who taught him to bravely chase his dreams—the Dragon Prince.
"Ao Bing," Nezha silently vowed in his heart, "I will not let your expectations down."
The Crystal Pendant around his neck seemed to warm slightly, as if responding to his thoughts. Nezha couldn't help but smile; this warmth from afar would become his strongest support on the journey ahead.
