Nezha paused for a moment, recalling the kindness and support from the professor and Captain Li. Perhaps Ao Bing was right; he indeed had his own path to walk in the human world and a mission to fulfill. 0

"Maybe you’re right," Nezha said slowly, "but that doesn’t mean I will give up on helping you. If you truly love me, you should respect my decision, not treat me as a weak person who needs protection." 0

"I don’t see you as weak," Ao Bing explained. "On the contrary, knowing how strong you are makes me even more worried that the Li Yang Sect will stop at nothing to capture you. They need the Demon Sphere Power to complete their ritual, and you are the only source." 0

"Let them come," Nezha replied resolutely. "I won’t hide, nor will I stand by and let them harm you and the Dragon Tribe. Ao Bing, no matter what you say, I will act according to my own judgment. This is me—Li Nezha—not a pawn to be manipulated, but someone with my own will!" 0

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Ao Bing’s voice turned unusually calm. "I understand. It seems we both have our own convictions. In that case, I won’t try to persuade you anymore. But please remember, whatever decision you make, you must take responsibility for your actions." 0

The formal tone stung Nezha. "So this is how it is? Each of us going our own way, ignoring each other’s feelings?" 0

"Not at all, Nezha," Ao Bing’s voice carried a hint of helplessness. "But given the current situation, we must prioritize our greater responsibilities. Once everything is over, we can discuss our future properly." 0

"If there is still a future," Nezha said bitterly. "You push me away now, and when the crisis passes, do you plan to return as if nothing happened? Is our relationship just an option for you that can be switched on and off at will?" 0

Ao Bing's voice grew somewhat agitated. "You’ve misunderstood me! I have never seen our relationship as something optional. It’s precisely because I value it that I want to protect it. Nezha, have you considered what would happen if you recklessly went forward and got captured by the Li Yang Sect? They would use your power to destroy the entire Dragon Tribe, and then you would bear the guilt of annihilating your kin! Can you handle such consequences?" 0

"So you still don’t trust my abilities?" Nezha's anger flared. "In your eyes, I’m always that 'dangerous item' that needs protection and control, right? The Magic Orb Reincarnation is destined to be a disaster, isn’t it?" 0

"That’s not what I meant!" Ao Bing raised his voice—a rare occurrence for him. "Why do you twist my words? I just want you safe; I don’t want the Li Yang Sect to have any opportunity!" 0

"You want me safe? What about my feelings?" Nezha nearly shouted. "You’re under house arrest while the Dragon Tribe is in peril, and I’m supposed to hide like some useless person in school day after day facing those fearful and rejecting gazes, not knowing if you're okay or when you'll return—or if you'll even come back at all! Is this what you call 'for my own good'?" 0

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds before Ao Bing’s voice came through low and pained. "I don’t know when I can return or if I can return at all. The crisis facing the Dragon Tribe is worse than imagined; Ao Lie has already taken control of most of the Dragon Palace, and the threat from the Li Yang Sect is imminent. I must resolve these issues first and fulfill my responsibilities as a prince; otherwise... there may be no future for us." 0

"So responsibility is more important than love?" Nezha's voice tinged with despair. 0
