On a Friday evening, Nezha participated in an important league match. Ao Bing had intentionally finished work early to sit in the stands and cheer for Nezha. The competition was intense, and Nezha performed exceptionally well, ultimately helping the team secure a 2:1 victory, with one of the goals scored by him.
After the match, Nezha declined his teammates' invitation to celebrate and instead took a walk home with Ao Bing. The night was serene, and the streetlights cast long shadows of the two.
"You played really well today," Ao Bing sincerely praised, "especially that goal; it was simply incredible."
Nezha grinned, "Really? That was a performance I prepared just for you."
Ao Bing lightly nudged him, "Stop being so full of yourself. But I did notice that your body control has improved significantly."
Nezha nodded, "Aunt Taiyi's training has indeed been effective. I can now control every muscle and movement with greater precision." He paused, his expression turning serious. "But I know this is still far from enough. Compared to 'Yuan', our strength may be insignificant."
Ao Bing took a deep breath. "Yes, but I believe that as long as we work together, there’s no difficulty we can’t overcome."
The two walked to a small park and sat on a bench. The night park was quiet and beautiful, with stars dotting the deep blue sky and a gentle breeze carrying the fragrance of flowers.
"Ao Bing," Nezha suddenly spoke, his voice tinged with uncertainty, "have you ever thought about what if... what if we fail?"
Ao Bing turned to look at Nezha, noticing the rare worry flickering in his eyes. "Are you saying if we can't stop 'Yuan'?"
Nezha nodded. "Yes. If our strength isn't enough, if we can't protect this world, if..."
Ao Bing placed his hand over Nezha's reassuringly and said firmly, "Then we fight until the last moment. No matter the outcome, at least we tried our best."
Nezha tightened his grip on Ao Bing's hand. "You’re always so calm and rational, even in the face of the worst situations."
Ao Bing smiled slightly. "Because I believe in us. Nezha, since the first time we met, you've been breaking through what’s deemed 'impossible'. The Demon Orb and the Dragon Tribe were supposed to be enemies, yet we've become the closest of partners. If we can break this fate, then nothing is truly impossible."
Touched by Ao Bing's words, Nezha's eyes sparkled with emotion. "You're right. No matter how powerful the enemy is, we will give it our all. Because what we are protecting is not just this world but also our future—the beautiful future we've envisioned together."
Under the moonlight, they exchanged smiles, their worries replaced by resolute determination.
The next morning, Taiyi Zhenren made an unexpected visit. Her expression was unusually serious, causing Nezha and Ao Bing to immediately sense that something was wrong.
"What happened?" Nezha asked.
Taiyi Zhenren spoke directly: "The seal on 'Yuan' is deteriorating at an accelerated rate. The latest observations indicate that we may have only a month left—perhaps even less."
Ao Bing's expression changed dramatically. "How could this happen? What caused the seal to suddenly weaken?"
Taiyi Zhenren shook her head. "It's unclear. But one possible explanation is that 'Yuan' has sensed your growing power and is intensifying its efforts to break free from the seal."
Nezha frowned. "So you're saying that the stronger we become, the more eager it is to break out?"
"That's very likely," Taiyi Zhenren replied. "That's why I'm here today. We need to accelerate our training progress, especially in coordinating your powers together. The strengths of the Dragon Tribe and Demon Orb are fundamentally opposing; however, if we can find the right balance point, they can form a new and even more powerful force."
Ao Bing pondered, "It's like the fusion of water and fire."
