After bidding farewell to my master, I turned and stepped out of the gates of Sword Heart Valley. I embarked on my journey to find Qingxin Grass, alone and facing the unknown.
I followed the winding path, the scenery around me gradually shifting from familiar to strange. The sounds of birds and flowing streams faded away, replaced by the whispers of the wind and distant, unrecognizable beast roars. I knew that after days of travel, I had finally entered the domain of the Nether Valley.
As I ventured deeper into the Nether Valley, the trees grew denser, blocking out sunlight and casting a shadowy gloom around me. I lit a torch, its flickering flame illuminating my path through the darkness.
Each step felt particularly heavy as I sensed the lurking dangers within the valley. Yet I did not falter; I understood that only by pressing forward could I find Qingxin Grass.
Night fell, and I set up camp beneath a large tree. By the campfire, I sifted through scrolls in search of possible clues. The firelight illuminated my face, revealing the determination and resolve in my eyes.
That night, I would face the darkness and silence of the Nether Valley alone. But fear did not grip me; I knew that every challenge was a stepping stone for my growth.
I crawled into my tent, closed my eyes, and let my spirit converse with this mysterious land. I could feel the essence of the Nether Valley; it was telling me that this place was filled with challenges as well as opportunities.
As dawn broke, I set off towards the depths of the Nether Valley. I was making my way along a narrow path when suddenly, a piercing hiss shattered the silence. I halted immediately, gripping the hilt of my sword as a three-meter-long Crimson Monster Snake burst from the underbrush. Its eyes gleamed like two cold emeralds, flashing with malice.
A foul stench assaulted my senses; I held my breath and quickly devised a strategy. This snake was incredibly fast and highly venomous—being bitten would have dire consequences. I needed to use my swordsmanship and the terrain to my advantage.
As the snake lunged at me again, I leaped aside and swung my sword at its midsection. The blade clashed against its scales, sparking as it struck. The Azure Blood Sword's sharp edge caused it to recoil in pain, but it soon returned with even greater ferocity.
I took a deep breath to steady myself. When it attacked again, instead of confronting it head-on, I relied on my agility to evade while searching for its weak points. After several exchanges, I finally noticed that its belly briefly exposed itself each time it struck.
When it lunged once more, I rolled away from its gaping maw and aimed my sword at its exposed belly. With one swift thrust, the blade pierced through its tough scales, causing it to thrash violently before collapsing onto the ground. As I stood up, there was no joy in my heart; encountering such a dangerous creature so early in my journey filled me with unease.
After tending to a scrape on my arm from our battle, I reflected on my first encounter with an enemy—it revealed a significant flaw in my skills: a lack of combat experience and slow reflexes under pressure. If dealing with just one monster was this challenging, how would I fare against greater threats?
Looking around at the seemingly tranquil Nether Valley once more, I understood that this was just the beginning; far more dangers awaited me ahead.
As I delved deeper into the valley, its perils proved far more than mere snakes. I encountered various strange creatures—each encounter tested my survival skills. Some were immensely strong while others moved with uncanny agility; each battle left me exhausted but simultaneously honed my swordsmanship and crisis management abilities further.
