The stench was overwhelming as uncle Zhao sprinted through the knee-deep blood. Behind him, he could hear the unsettling clatter of bones as seven skeletons, carrying a Human Skin palanquin, relentlessly pursued him. 0

Turning a corner, the sight before him made his heart drop: the Barefoot Monk's Buddha's Remains had been assembled into a grotesque Fa Tan, with Daoist Charred Corpse seated atop it, performing a ritual. Sulfur and Blood Characters had spread throughout the river. 0

"Poor Daoist borrowed Colonel Sun's hand to feign death, and finally waited for this moment," the Daoist said, tearing away his charred face to reveal Zhang Tianshi's visage. 0

At his feet lay the unconscious Colonel Sun, with seven golden needles embedded in his chest. "We still need a sacrifice born at the hour of Yin; thank you, Steward Zhao, for delivering it right to my door." 0

Suddenly, a golden dragon sprang from uncle Zhao's arms but was shattered mid-air by a blood-red talisman. The seven skeletons pinned him to the altar as the Celestial Master drew a knife and sliced open Colonel Sun's throat. 0

As blood splattered onto uncle Zhao's face, he saw countless Vengeful Spirit surge from the Dark River—these were all the servants who had perished over the years due to the Seventh Concubine's schemes! 0

"The hour of noon has arrived!" The Celestial Master shook the Shepherding Bell. 0

uncle Zhao felt his three souls and seven spirits begin to leave his body when he suddenly caught sight of a Telegram slipping from Colonel Sun's uniform pocket: it was an urgent order from the Nanjing government regarding Li Zhongwen’s smuggling case! The date on the telegram was the very day Master passed away, and it bore the Azure Sky White Sun Seal. 0

In a life-or-death moment, uncle Zhao bit down on his tongue and sprayed a mist of blood. 0

Suddenly, countless pale arms reached out from the Dark River; they belonged to the souls of water bandits who had drowned years ago! The Celestial Master's Fa Tan was overturned as the seven skeletons screamed and plunged into the blood river. 0

Seizing the opportunity, uncle Zhao lunged for Colonel Sun's sidearm but instead grasped something hard—it was half a copper coin given by the Barefoot Monk! 0

With a clang, the coin fell into the Dark River, causing it to boil violently. Thousands of Vengeful Spirit burst forth from the water, tearing at the Celestial Master's skin and flesh. 0

In the chaos, uncle Zhao grabbed onto a floating log and was swept away by the dark currents toward an unknown abyss. The last thing he saw was seven skeletons transforming into green smoke, coalescing into a ghostly face of Master weeping bitterly... 0

The turbulent waters of the Dark River crashed against uncle Zhao as he collided with a stone wall, putrid blood flooding his mouth and nose. Desperately, he clung to a protruding rock crevice, his fingertips brushing against an icy engraving—it was an entire Rock Carving Inscription! 0

Using what little light remained from his flashlight, he saw that on the stone tablet were inscribed words of the Ming Hongwu Twenty-Seven Year Edict, densely surrounded by hundreds of Copper Coffins nailed beneath it. 0

"It turns out the Li Mansion is built on the Underworld Ferry..." 0

uncle Zhao recalled what the Barefoot Monk had said about this place being a thousand-year execution ground, where the Zhenhun Monument was erected during the Hongwu era to suppress water demons. At this moment, the inscription was seeping with Heavenly Blood, and a violet hand emerged from the gaps of the Copper Coffin, drifting like eerie water plants in the dark currents. 0

The sound of dragging iron chains came from behind. 0

uncle Zhao turned to see Zhang Tianshi stepping over floating corpses, his charred Skin and Flesh peeling away to reveal bronze bones. In his hand, the Shepherding Bell had transformed into a blood-colored skull. 0

"The Poor Daoist has waited for a hundred years; how can you ruin this!" 0

As the bell rang, all the Copper Coffins opened, and the bloated ancient corpses ignited green flames in their eye sockets. 0

uncle Zhao quickly retreated, his back colliding with an object that felt like a floating piece of ice. 0

Upon closer inspection, he realized it was Colonel Sun's frozen corpse! The pockets of his military uniform bulged slightly, revealing half of a Telegram. 0

He struck the ice layer with all his might, and suddenly, the decayed corpse opened its eyes, its iron-claw-like hands gripping his throat. 0

"Ding—" 0

Half a copper coin leaped from his grasp and struck the corpse's forehead. 0

Colonel Sun's voice echoed from his throat, sounding like a child's laughter: "Big brother has come to play jump rope with us..." 0

From beneath the ice surfaced dozens of child corpses, each with red strings tied around their wrists—the very same beggar children who had gone missing over the years! 0
