The motorcycle crew of the Street Racers swiftly approached, their headlights flickering in the night, the low rumble of engines roaring through the silent streets like a pack of nocturnal beasts. 0

Beside Carter, a heavy bike suddenly accelerated, riding parallel. The young rider wore a half-face helmet, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, while deafening bass thumped from the speakers, pulsating like a frantic heartbeat against the night sky. 0

"Hey! Bro! What are you doing out here so late?" 0

Another motorcycle drew closer, Rider holding a long iron pipe, scraping it against the ground and sending a shower of dazzling sparks flying, accompanied by the jarring sound of metal grinding that sent shivers down one's spine. 0

"Don't you know this area isn't safe at night?" 0

A few young men burst into laughter, their voices echoing in the darkness, wild and unrestrained, like wolves that had just caught their prey. 0

Carter remained silent, his gaze fixed ahead, his expression indifferent as he tightened his grip on the throttle. 0

He had seen this situation too many times before. 0

These people weren't just random members of the Street Racing Gang; they were here for fun, and tonight, he was their new toy. 0

"Hey, don't be so rude!" one of them laughed as he reached out, seemingly intending to pat Carter on the shoulder. But Carter had already anticipated this move; he shifted his body slightly to evade the touch and twisted his wrist, slamming the throttle down. 0

"Vroom—ROAR!!" 0

The motorcycle's engine howled as Carter surged forward, breaking free from their encirclement. 0

But he knew these people wouldn't let him off easily. 0

Behind him, the laughter of the young men turned to surprise and then erupted into excited shouts— 0

"Hey? Still trying to run?" 0

"This is getting interesting! Brothers, chase him!" 0

The roar of engines erupted once more as several heavy motorcycles accelerated simultaneously. The riders, like mad dogs catching a whiff of blood, charged towards Carter with wild smiles. 0

The thunder of engines roared through the night, resembling a frenzied hunting game unfolding in the darkness. 0

Carter gripped the throttle tightly, pushing his motorcycle to its limits. The wind howled past his ears, but he knew he couldn't outrun this pack of outlaws. 0

Behind him, the Street Racers were relentless, their laughter echoing with excitement as they pursued him like a pack of bloodthirsty wolves in the night. 0

"Run! Come on, man! Why so cowardly?" 0

"Isn't this fun? Play with us a little longer!" 0

Carter didn't respond or look back; his mind raced as he tried to devise a way to shake them off. 0

—On this straight stretch of road, he had no chance to lose them. 0

—If he continued to accelerate in a straight line, they would only get faster in pursuit. 0

—His only option was to change the terrain. 0

Out of the corner of his eye, Carter caught sight of a building ahead; a narrow alleyway flickered into view amidst the darkness. 0

This is the place! 0

He suddenly twisted the steering wheel to the right, the tires screeching against the pavement as the car swiftly turned into an alley, disappearing from the main road! 0

"Damn! That guy turned into the alley!" 0

"Quick, chase him! Don't let him get away!" 0

The street racers reacted quickly, lowering their bodies and following suit into the narrow passage. 0

However— 0

This alley was much narrower than they had anticipated! 0

What had just been a road wide enough for side-by-side driving had now transformed into a narrow passage that could only accommodate a single vehicle, forcing them to line up in a single file! 0

"What the hell is this place?!" 0

One of the riders shouted in frustration, trying to slow down, but those behind him were already closing in, leaving him no time to react. 0

"Be careful! Up ahead… damn!" 0

Bang—! 0

One motorcycle skidded out of control while turning too sharply, flipping over violently. The rider crashed hard onto the ground, sliding several meters before slamming into the wall with a dull thud! 0

"Get up now!" 0

The knights behind him quickly slammed on their brakes, causing chaos to erupt in the scene. 0

In that moment, Carter seized the opportunity and increased the distance, continuing to dash deeper into the alley! 0

Carter's body felt as if it were being dried out by the night wind, adrenaline pushing his consciousness to its limits. When he spotted the main road ahead, a glimmer of hope surged within him. 0

—As long as he could burst out, he would shake off those bastards! 0

Without hesitation, he pressed down on the throttle, and the motorcycle's engine roared angrily as it accelerated toward the exit. 0

But just at that instant— 0

"Woof—!" 0

A shadow suddenly sprang out from behind a trash can at the alley's entrance—a gaunt wild dog darted across the road in front of him! 0

"Damn it!" 0

Carter's pupils constricted, and he instinctively slammed on the brakes— 0

But this old motorcycle had no ABS system! 0

"Bang—!" 0

The front wheel suddenly locked up, and the vehicle lost balance at high speed— 0

Carter was thrown out! 0

His body slammed into the ground, rolling several times, with his elbows and knees scraping against the rough asphalt. A sharp pain surged through him in an instant! 0

"Cough—!" 0

He lay on the ground, gasping for breath, his vision blurred, and a buzzing filled his ears. It felt as if someone had kicked his lungs hard, leaving him nearly immobile. 0

"Gragh—!!" 0

A piercing sound of tires screeching filled the air as several motorcycles burst out from the alley. Moments later, a heavy bike rolled right over Carter's overturned motorcycle, with a loud crash that shattered the casing and scattered parts everywhere. 0

The Street Racers rode up one after another, surrounding the fallen Carter. 0

"Heh heh, still thinking of running?" 0

"You were pretty fast just now; why aren’t you running now?" 0

Their laughter was filled with mockery, and the headlights illuminated Carter's face, casting a shattered shadow around him. 0

Carter gritted his teeth, pushing himself up with his palms to avoid collapsing completely. Yet his body trembled faintly, pain shooting from his limbs to his brain, slowing down his thoughts. 0

These people weren't here to play; they were here to hunt. 0

Now, his role had shifted from "prey" to "entertainment after the prey falls." 0

Several knights extinguished their fires and dismounted. One of them tapped a metal pipe in his palm, producing a sharp crack, a manic grin spreading across his face. 0

"You should join us for some fun, right?" 0

Carter panted slightly, a hint of cold indifference on his face as he spat out a mouthful of blood. 0

"…Fuck you." 0

—If there was no choice in this game, he wouldn't just be a docile target. 0

The pain came swiftly and fiercely, nearly blanking out Carter's thoughts. 0

He knew he had to get up, but his body simply wouldn’t cooperate with his mind. 0

The recent crash had left his limbs numb, his arms scraped, and his knee painfully bruised from the impact. Every attempt to push himself up felt like his muscles were on fire, making it impossible for him to maintain his balance. 0

"Bang!" 0

A metal rod slammed into his back with a dull thud, the pain surging through him like an electric shock. 0

"Dammit! Didn’t you run fast just now?!" 0

"Why aren’t you running now?!" 0

Iron rods, heavy boots, and fists struck him again and again. 0

"Bang!" Another iron rod slammed into his shoulder, and he could almost hear the dull thud of his bones. 0

"Bang!" A blow to his waist made his insides feel as if they were being violently squeezed; his stomach lurched, and he nearly vomited. 0

"Damn it! Who do you think you are?! A hero?!" 0

"Don’t think that just because you ride fast, you’re something special! To us, you’re just a nobody!" 0

Carter tightly wrapped his arms around his head, gritting his teeth as the attacks rained down on his arms, back, and ribs. Anger surged through his veins, but right now… he simply couldn’t fight back. 0

He could only endure the pain, trying to roll and evade the blows to avoid critical hits. 0

Yet even so, waves of intense pain crashed over him, threatening to strip away his consciousness bit by bit. 0

This wasn’t a fight; it was a beating. 0

They gave him no chance to catch his breath. This group of young men roared with excitement, like a pack of hungry wild dogs that had caught an injured wolf, cruelly toying with it. 0

Carter had faced situations like this before… but this time, perhaps his body truly couldn’t take it anymore. 0
