The leading elder had a typical Huaxia appearance and spoke with a Hong Kong Island accent. His name was Zou Konghu; he had once been a Feng Shui Master on Hong Kong Island but fled overseas in the 1960s after committing serious crimes there and eventually joined the Holy Witch Cult.
Among the other three elders, two were from Southeast Asia and one was Caucasian.
Shi Tao Di from the Sha Family eagerly followed Zou Konghu, constantly flattering him. For years, Liao Yangmai had kept him under pressure; today, however, fortune had turned in his favor as he finally managed to bring people from the Holy Witch Cult to his side.
And indeed, the Holy Witch Cult did not disappoint him; they arrived with great momentum, intimidating the three major Witch Clans of Xiangxi. Now only the Liao Family remained obstinate and resistant.
In truth, according to the Holy Witch Cult's style of operation, if the Liao Family resisted, they would typically use swift and ruthless methods to suppress them. Currently, they had only disabled Liao Yangmai’s limbs mainly to draw out their target.
That target referred to Jiang Chen. Liao Yangmai had mentioned that there was an expert named Jiang Chen in Huaxia who would surely come to confront them.
The Holy Witch Cult was already aware of Jiang Chen's actions in Hong Kong Island where he killed one of their elders. However, since their sect leader had only recently mastered his powers and stabilized most of the Witch Clans in Southeast Asia, they had just begun to turn their attention towards Huaxia without time to seek revenge on Jiang Chen. If they could lure Jiang Chen to Xiangxi, that would be ideal.
“Elder Zou, I didn’t expect Liao Yangmai would dare invite us for dinner tonight; I think he must be tired of living,” Shi Tao Di remarked as they arrived at the entrance of the restaurant.
