“Master Liu, we will set off tomorrow,” Jiang Chen said to Liu Liangmei before leaving.
After Jiang Chen departed, Zeng Xianyi turned to Liu Liangmei and said, “With Mr. Jiang helping you this time, everything will surely be resolved. If you decide to leave afterward, I will respect your decision.”
“Zeng Lao, don’t worry, I won’t be leaving,” Liu Liangmei replied with a slight smile, her tone serious.
“Then, thank you very much,” Zeng Xianyi said, gazing deeply at Liu Liangmei, his old eyes shimmering with gratitude.
The Martial Arts Special Forces were in urgent need of martial talent, but Zeng Xianyi understood Liu Liangmei’s situation. After all, she bore the responsibility of revitalizing the Zhai Yue Pavilion, and it was only natural for her to consider leaving. However, Liu Liangmei’s reassurance brought him comfort; having her stay was the best outcome.
That evening, in a restaurant in the capital city, Jiang Chen sat with Wang Shun Yuan, Liu Hui, and Gao Jian as they enjoyed drinks and conversation. There were no other guests—just the four of them.
“Jiang Chen, last time you mentioned that we should use this two hundred million to start a business. While we are interested, what if we end up losing money?” Wang Shun Yuan expressed his concerns. The amount was substantial, and even with Jiang Chen backing them, their hearts remained uneasy.
Liu Hui and Gao Jian looked at Jiang Chen with eager eyes.
“I understand the risks of starting a business, but that’s what makes it interesting. Even if you do lose money, there’s no need to worry; this amount is nothing,” Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
Wang Shun Yuan and the others swallowed hard; two hundred million was indeed nothing in Jiang Chen’s eyes—he was incredibly wealthy.
“Boss, since Jiang Chen has said so, let’s go for it! I refuse to believe that with such ample startup funds we would incur losses,” Liu Hui declared boldly. He had always wanted to start a business; his dreams from university had been extinguished by the harsh realities of life.
“I’m still in graduate school; I probably can’t participate,” Gao Jian said.
“Jian Ge, you can provide us with technical support!” Liu Hui laughed.
“Alright then! It’s settled. You three will start a business together. I believe you can achieve great things,” Jiang Chen raised his glass and smiled.
The atmosphere grew lively, and Wang Shun Yuan felt he could ease his worries. Since Jiang Chen had provided them with funding, their task was simply to ensure it wasn’t wasted.
“By the way, Jiang Chen, there’s something else I need to discuss with you,” Liu Hui suddenly said after taking a sip of beer.
“What is it?”
“In December, it’s our university’s anniversary celebration. I’ve been discussing with the boss and Jian Ge about our entrepreneurial direction—we’re actually thinking of focusing on education. So we want to return for the anniversary,” Liu Hui explained.
“That sounds great! I fully support it. Here’s what we’ll do: establish a company before the anniversary celebration. Later on, I’ll transfer another hundred million to your company’s account as a donation to your alma mater. This should help promote your company as well,” Jiang Chen suggested.
Wang Shun Yuan, Liu Hui, and Gao Jian exchanged glances. Although Jiang Chen's idea was indeed an entrepreneurial shortcut, using his money for donations felt off to them.
“It’s settled then! Don’t be shy about it; I genuinely hope for your success in business. While one hundred million seems like a lot now, it won’t be much when your company goes public,” Jiang Chen chuckled.
"Alright then," Wang Shun Yuan and the others decided not to refuse any longer. After all, they had already accepted so many benefits and support from Jiang Chen; being hesitant now would only seem pretentious.
