Dao Xuan stood in place for a moment, then adjusted his Daoist robe and walked to the front of Qiu Wangyu's hall. He respectfully bowed to the somewhat dim hall and said, "Master, I am your disciple Dao Xuan, here to pay my respects."
There was silence from Qiu Wangyu, and no one responded.
After waiting for a while, Dao Xuan remained respectful and slowly said, "Then I will take my leave."
Although this situation seemed a bit strange, it had not been uncommon in recent days. Chengzi had been recuperating in Qiu Wangyu's hall and had become increasingly taciturn. Every few days, Dao Xuan would come to pay his respects, and out of five visits, he encountered this cold reception two or three times. Meanwhile, Su Ru, who had been standing behind him, curiously glanced at Qiu Wangyu's hall. When Dao Xuan returned, she couldn't help but ask him in a low voice, "Brother Daoxuan, is Master Zhangmen really in there meditating?"
Dao Xuan replied, "Of course." He looked at Su Ru and asked, "Why do you ask?"
Su Ru said, "I just came over here and also went to that hall..."

Dao Xuan paused for a moment in surprise. "I entrusted this matter to your senior sister Shuiyue. She just gave me the list for Zhu Feng. Well, both your name and Shuiyue's name are on it. As for the other sects, I have an idea about Tongfeng, but we need to wait for their leaders to finalize theirs."
Su Ru responded with an "oh," but did not continue speaking; she seemed hesitant to say more. Curious about her reaction, Dao Xuan noticed they had reached the stone tablet inscribed with Illusory Moon Cave. Turning around, they continued walking down the mountain. Dao Xuan asked Su Ru, "Why are you suddenly asking about this?"
Su Ru hesitated for a moment and said softly, "Senior Brother, I was thinking about the date of the Seven Veins Martial Arts Conference. Could it be postponed a bit?"
"Mm?" Dao Xuan raised an eyebrow and looked at Su Ru. He already held a high reputation among the younger generation of disciples in the Azure Cloud Sect, and with his recent role in managing sect affairs, he had become even more respected. Ordinary disciples regarded him with a bit more awe.

Dao Xuan smiled and then straightened his expression. "Junior Sister Su, you are absolutely right. I will take note of this."
Su Ru was taken aback; she hadn't expected her usually revered senior brother to be so understanding. He exceeded her expectations by tenfold. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond. After a while, she suddenly exclaimed joyfully and jumped up slightly, placing her hand on her chest and smiling, "Thank you, Senior Brother! Thank you!"
Dao Xuan smiled gently and said, "There's no need to thank me; it's only natural. The Seven Factions Martial Arts Tournament will wait until Jian returns to Azure Cloud Mountain. Su Ru smiled brightly, looking particularly happy.

At first, Su Ru was filled with righteous indignation, but later she seemed to think of something else and appeared to feel wronged on behalf of that dead fat guy. Her emotions became so intense that her eyes even turned slightly red, and her voice trembled as she spoke; it was clear she was very upset.
Dao Xuan watched her with a stirred heart and couldn't help but take another look at the girl in front of him. He shook his head and ultimately offered some gentle words of comfort to Su Ru.
Although Su Ru was angry, no matter what, Tian Buyi was still a disciple of Dazhu Peak, and the list for participating in the Seven Factions Martial Arts Tournament was drafted by each faction of Qingyun Sect. Thus, Dao Xuan planned to return to Yuqing Palace while pondering whether he should really go greet Zheng Tong, Master Uncle regarding Tian Buyi's matter. This could be significant; in fact, if he didn't go at all, Junior Sister Su Ru wouldn't truly come to pester him about it. She might not even know what had happened; she would probably just think that the people from Dazhu Peak looked down on Tian Buyi and didn't allow him to participate in the Seven Factions Martial Arts Tournament.
