I turned to look at Yang Fan, who was standing with his hands in his coat pockets, his head lowered as if searching for something. Suddenly, he stumbled over a brick, nearly losing his balance. He rubbed his knee and muttered a curse under his breath before continuing on. 0

After walking half a mile down the bustling street filled with New Year's goods, Yang Fan and I arrived in front of a uniquely designed store. Its sign read: Thorn Flower Dance School. Recalling my previous experiences, I confirmed that this was indeed the place and stepped inside with Yang Fan. 0

The dance classroom was divided into two rooms, one teaching Waltz and the other Vienna Waltz (which included both slow and fast variations). The two exits were about twenty meters apart, and the dimly lit corridor outside added to the atmosphere. As we approached the door of the left classroom, the melodious strains of a slow Waltz drifted out, accompanied by Sister Yin's playful admonition: "Oh dear, why are you so clumsy? You keep stepping on my feet!" 0

Hearing her somewhat unreasonable complaint made even the usually expressionless Yang Fan crack a smile. 0

The reason Yang Fan and I found ourselves here was all thanks to Sister Yin. The West City Police Station was planning an end-of-year celebration, and Sister Yin suggested that since Yang Fan and I had assisted her in solving several cases, we should be recognized for our efforts. Although our contributions had been minimal, it was still acknowledged. Coincidentally, the chief of the West City Police Station was an old acquaintance of Yang Fan's, which led to us being invited as special guests for the year-end celebration. Even so, we had no intention of performing any acts; however, Chen Yin somehow contacted my girlfriend Xia Xiaoshi and they became close friends. Under the pressure from these two women, I ended up as their dance partner for the Waltz while Yang Fan valiantly resisted but ultimately could not escape being part of the audience. Thus, under the pretext of accompanying Yang Fan for further investigation in the afternoon, I brought him to this dance classroom. 0

Upon entering the Waltz Classroom, we were greeted by a vast space measuring about thirty meters long and fifteen meters wide, illuminated entirely by fluorescent lights without any windows. The door opened in the middle of one wall; about seven or eight meters to the right was a large glass partition separating the two Waltz classrooms. At first glance, it looked like a mirror until I noticed that the movements of people on either side were different. 0

As we walked in, Chen Yin was standing with her hands on her hips scolding a visibly embarrassed Xiao He while Xiao Shi listened nearby, laughing uncontrollably. Upon seeing us, Chen Yin stopped her reprimand; Xiao He seized the opportunity to dash off for water while Xia Xiaoshi smiled and beckoned us over. 0

"We've been waiting for you both for ages," Xiao Shi said affectionately as she linked her arm with mine, urging me to take off my down jacket to prepare for practice. Meanwhile, Yang Fan leaned against the heater by the dance floor like an outsider, seemingly lost in thought about that plan. 0

Sister Yin greeted me but suddenly turned to Yang Fan with a serious expression: "Hey you! Come over here and practice with me; He Banqiao is too clumsy." Despite her reluctant tone, I could sense a hint of anticipation in her voice. 0

Yang Fan furrowed his brow and didn’t respond. Xiao Shi, Xiao He, and I couldn’t help but laugh. Chen Yin’s face flushed red as she pointed at Xiao He angrily: "Hey! I'm talking to you! You clumsy Xiao He! Come back here!" Xiao He stifled his laughter and returned to Chen Yin’s side. 0

As the music began, Xiao Shi and I started dancing to the rhythm while my mind wandered elsewhere. 0

Yang Fan returned home late that day; according to him, he hadn’t found a single clue. Moreover, he had secretly spent an afternoon investigating Xinlan Real Estate but found nothing unusual. The employees seemed unfazed by their success in this bidding process, which suggested that Lo Xinyu's theory might indeed be correct. However, this raised an unavoidable question: how did the proposal end up in Xinlan Real Estate's hands? 0

Yang Fan went to confirm that the elevator indeed remained on the ground floor that night. Climbing through the elevator shaft to reach the top floor and then entering the office was not impossible, but it required a lot of technical support. Some employees working late on various floors had not noticed any abnormalities with the elevator, which inadvertently dismissed this grand scheme. Thus, the three segments of stairs captured in the video became the only viable route. 0
