After we served, Jiang Lingfeng took a shot just inside the three-point line but missed. The Wuzun Team's Center grabbed the rebound and passed it to their captain forward. The captain received the ball and shot immediately. I jumped high to block the shot, and I actually managed to block the captain's dunk! It was then that I realized I had been overestimating my opponents, even deifying them. They are indeed strong, but they are also ordinary people. We had underestimated ourselves; after all, we are also the district champions. Everyone is on equal footing; no one is inferior to anyone else. As long as we are willing to fight and put in the effort, there is no opponent we cannot overcome. 0

After A Fei got the ball, he sprinted to transition it to Jiang Lingfeng outside the three-point line. Jiang Lingfeng caught the ball and shot, but it was a miss! I fought for the rebound with Wuzun's captain, but he managed to secure it and passed it to Wuzun's Point Guard, who took a shot from beyond the arc but missed. This time A Fei grabbed the rebound and ran directly to the three-point line, passing the ball to me. The Wuzun Team's long player spread his arms in front of me, crouching down to defend. After locking eyes for two seconds, I broke through from his right side. Just as I was about to get past him, I suddenly felt the ball slip from my hands; it was stolen by Wuzun's long player! I turned around and saw him rushing towards the three-point line. I sprinted after him frantically, but he managed to throw up a shot before I could reach him! 0

After Wuzun's long player scored, he raised his right index finger above his head, and the audience erupted in applause. I felt anger rising within me. Wuzun's long player, today I'm going to show you what a rising star looks like! After we served again, Jiang Lingfeng passed the ball to me. After receiving it, I turned and jumped for a shot—score! This shot was meant to show them: we can also execute a five-second fast break! My fighting spirit surged at that moment; if we win this game, our morale will soar, giving us greater confidence for future matches. Clearly, our "young warriors" had stunned them; never underestimate a champion's heart! 0

With three minutes and thirteen seconds left in the game, we led Wuzun Team by five points at 17-12. After Wuzun Team served, they began attacking inside. The Center received the ball and aggressively went for A Fei. Due to his height disadvantage, A Fei struggled against the Center’s repeated attempts. This time it was another strong drive from Wuzun's Center; however, A Fei managed to steal the ball after taking two steps forward when he caught the Center off guard. He passed it out to Jiang Lingfeng at zero degrees angle, who then took a three-pointer but missed! A Fei fought hard for the rebound and after landing on both feet passed the ball to me. I ran to the top of the arc and hit a three-pointer! My shooting percentage was incredible; by now I had made 4 out of 5 shots with one successful three-pointer. With two minutes and fifty-seven seconds remaining, we still led by four points at 51-47. 0

After Wuzun served again, their Point Guard passed straight to their Center but made an error. A Fei quickly received the ball and returned it to Jiang Lingfeng outside the three-point line. Jiang Lingfeng passed it back to me; in front of Wuzun's long player, I executed "Lingbo Microstep" to shake him off before taking a floater that spun twice around the rim before dropping in—71! We continued to extend our lead; Wuzun seemed anxious now. The Point Guard passed to their captain forward who dribbled up to take a jump shot from near the free-throw line. I rushed over for a block; seeing me approach, the captain had no choice but to pull back his shot—clearly trying for a layup—but he jumped too early and miscalculated his timing with his hands and feet. Before he could finish his move, he landed awkwardly; the referee blew his whistle signaling traveling violation against Wuzun Team. 0

Wuzun's long player anxiously shouted at his teammates: "Defense!" It seemed our group was doing well; compared with teams like P and Snow Wolf, Wuzun Team clearly had some gaps in strength that allowed us to see a chance at advancing. Wuzun Team served again; this time their captain took control of possession himself. As he rushed toward the right wing, he hurriedly took a shot that clearly had too much force behind it—but surprisingly hit off the backboard and went in! It was just luck though; Wuzun was starting to lose composure—growing increasingly frantic—this is a major taboo on the court! With just one minute left in the game, we were leading by more than ten points—the score difference had entered double digits with little time remaining—the game officially entered garbage time. 0

However, Wuzun Team still refused to surrender easily. After serving again, their Center passed quickly to their Point Guard who ran out to take another three-pointer from forty-five degrees on the right side—score! This was only their second successful three-pointer of this match; overall their shooting percentage from beyond arc wasn't very high today. After we served again, Jiang Lingfeng held onto the ball while running down time; when only three seconds were left on the clock at the top of arc he took a shot—but missed! The opposing Center grabbed the rebound quickly passing it out again to their captain who then dished it out once more to their Point Guard on the right wing at forty-five degrees—another attempt—but missed again! Luck wasn’t on Wuzun’s side this time; A Fei grabbed another rebound passing it back to me before I returned it once more to Jiang Lingfeng as time ticked away second by second until finally Jiang Lingfeng passed back one last time—I caught it mid-range and took my shot just as referee’s whistle blew. 0

6! We easily defeated Taiyuan Wuzun Team and achieved our desired opening victory in group play! In this match, I shot 7 out of 8 overall scoring 15 points—almost half of our total score alone—along with one block assist and steal making me undoubtedly MVP of this game! The Wuzun Team appeared quite dejected as they exited first from gymnasium after finishing up their match. “We won! Dream Chasers are amazing!” Shuai Dong and Pang Hao shouted at full volume as we walked off court high-fiving them while applause erupted from audience—it felt like congratulations for our victory! We left Kuda Square feeling relaxed; outside it was slightly cloudy—I took a deep breath of fresh air only to cough immediately as all I inhaled were car exhaust fumes while gazing at Beijing’s congested traffic—I silently told myself: Xiang Jie, you must play basketball in this big city of Beijing in future! 0

Back at our hotel after changing out of our clothes we threw them onto bed venting all pent-up excitement within us—I opened my phone playing Xu Song’s “Rivers and Mountains Are Beautiful.” We kicked off our trip in Beijing on a great note! Shuai Dong suggested going out for drinks; upon hearing this everyone froze momentarily—“Shuai Dong... should we really drink...?” Pang Hao stammered beside him while Shuai Dong replied unhappily: “What do you mean should or shouldn’t? Real men should know how to drink! Look at those characters in TV drama New Water Margin—they’re fourteen or fifteen years old already drinking from big bowls! Alright then let’s go drink!” 0
