As soon as the words left her lips, Luna's clear eyes opened wide, as if two brilliant stars had suddenly been ignited.
She slowly raised her small hand and gently caressed Aelia's Luna, a mysterious smile blossoming on her youthful face, stirring something deep within the hearts of those who beheld her.
"Madam, look..." Qin Si's voice trembled slightly as she pointed at Luna's eyes, which sparkled with an unusual light.
At that moment, the door was suddenly flung open, and Leonard rushed in with a panicked expression. His face was pale.
"Aelia, Luna, are you alright?" he asked anxiously, scanning the room. When he saw the Magical Beasts bound by magical ropes, his expression grew even more complicated.
Aelia held Luna tightly, meeting Leonard's gaze with unwavering determination. "We're fine; Luna is safe. But this is just the beginning; she has many more missions waiting for her to complete." Her voice was calm and resolute, carrying an undeniable strength that seemed to foreshadow an extraordinary future.
Luna gently patted Aelia's thin shoulders, as if to comfort her.
Then she turned her head to look at her elder brother standing nearby.
"Elder Brother, your Magic Backlash is not without a solution," Luna said, her voice youthful yet imbued with a convincing power.
Upon hearing this, her brother's previously dim eyes brightened instantly. He asked excitedly, "Luna, do you... do you know how to solve it?"
Luna nodded slowly and said, "Elder Brother, the Magic Backlash you suffered comes from an ancient curse known as the Soul Devouring Curse. This curse continuously devours a Mage's Soul Power, ultimately leading to magical instability and physical disability. To lift this curse, one must find a rare herb called Holy Light Grass and perform a special Magic Ritual for purification."
"Holy Light Grass?" Her brother murmured to himself, hope filling his eyes. "I've heard of this herb; it's said to grow in the snowy mountains of the Extreme North Land and is extremely rare. Moreover, powerful magical creatures guard it—how could it be easy to obtain?"
"Elder Brother, I know where the Holy Light Grass is located," Luna replied confidently. "And I also know how to avoid those Guardian Magic creatures."
Luna's words reignited the flickering flame of hope in her brother's heart that had almost been extinguished.
He excitedly grasped Luna's small hand and said with a trembling voice, "Luna, if... if you can really help me lift the curse, I... I will definitely repay you well!"
Under Luna's guidance, the eldest brother successfully found the Holy Light Grass and, following her instructions for a special Magic Ritual, he managed to break the Magic Backlash Curse that had plagued him for years.
As he felt the surge of Magical Power within him once again, tears of joy filled his eyes.
"My... my Magical Power is back! I've finally escaped the curse!" he shouted with excitement, tightly embracing Luna, his gratitude overflowing. "Luna, you are truly my savior! I swear I will protect you well from now on. Anyone who dares to harm you in the slightest will have to face me!"
After resolving the eldest brother's predicament, Luna turned her attention to the Second Brother.
The Second Brother had fallen into a special Magic Dilemma due to being deceived by a close friend; his Magical Power was sealed, preventing him from casting spells normally.
"Second Brother, the reason you're in this situation is that your close friend used a Mind Control Spell on you," Luna revealed bluntly. "He exploited your trust in him to steal your Magical Power and trapped you in a false dream."
Upon hearing this, the Second Brother felt as if struck by lightning. He looked at Luna in disbelief and stammered, "You... what are you saying? My close friend... he actually deceived me?"
"Second Brother, that's the truth," Luna replied calmly. "If you don't believe me, I can help you break the Mind Control Spell so you can see the reality."
With Luna's assistance, the Second Brother finally freed himself from the control of the Mind Control Spell and saw his friend's true nature.
It dawned on him that he had been deceived and used by his closest friend all along.
"I... I was so foolish! How could I have trusted someone like that?" The Second Brother lamented, pounding his chest in frustration. He felt he had let down his family's expectations and betrayed Luna's trust.
"Second Brother, it's not too late to realize this now," Luna encouraged him. "As long as you can pick yourself up and start practicing magic again, you will surely regain your lost power and take revenge for yourself."
Luna's words struck like a bolt of lightning, clearing the fog in Second Brother's heart.
He reignited his fighting spirit, determined to turn over a new leaf, work hard on his magic, and no longer disappoint Luna and his family.
After resolving the issues with Eldest Brother and Second Brother, Luna turned her attention to Brother San.
Brother San, blessed with immense Magical Talent, had been the center of attention since childhood, which fostered a sense of pride and arrogance within him.
He believed that his natural gifts meant he didn’t need to put in the effort to become a powerful Mage.
“Brother San, you’ve been heading in the wrong direction all along,” Luna pointed out his flaws without mercy. “Your talent is indeed formidable, but if you don’t work hard at your craft, it will ultimately amount to nothing. Remember, the world of magic is boundless; only through continuous effort can you achieve progress.”
Luna’s words acted like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing the flames of pride in Brother San’s heart.
It was then that he became aware of how he had been misled by his talent and had neglected his training.
“I… I’ve been so foolish!” Brother San lowered his head in shame. “I always thought I was exceptional, but I never realized that I am actually the most useless one in the family.”
“Brother San, recognizing your mistakes and being willing to change is a great virtue,” Luna encouraged him. “As long as you can set aside your pride and diligently practice magic, you will surely achieve greater accomplishments.”
Luna’s words deeply moved Brother San.
He resolved to turn over a new leaf and work hard on his magic, no longer wanting to waste his talent or disappoint his family.
While Luna was helping the Three Brothers overcome their challenges, Qin Si quietly informed Aelia about Leonard's affair with Leonard's Concubine.
"Madam, there's something I don't know if I should say..." Qin Si stammered.
"Just speak your mind," Aelia replied, her thoughts consumed by Luna, unaware of Qin Si's unease.
"Madam, I... I heard that the Master has... has been keeping a woman outside..." Qin Si gathered his courage and finally revealed the truth.
At these words, Aelia felt as though she had been struck by lightning. The teacup in her hand fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.
She looked at Qin Si in disbelief, her voice trembling as she asked, "What... what did you say? Leonard... he has a woman outside?"
Qin Si nodded and spoke softly, "Madam, this is true. I saw the Master entering and leaving a separate courtyard with a young woman, and... and that woman is already pregnant."
Upon hearing this, Aelia's face turned pale as paper.
She felt as if she had been hit by a bolt of lightning, leaving her numb.
For years, she had loved Leonard deeply, considering him the most important person in her life.
She had always believed that their love was unbreakable and their marriage blissful.
Yet now, she realized that all of it was merely a beautiful lie.
"Why? Why would he do this to me?" Aelia closed her eyes in anguish, tears streaming down her cheeks. "What did I do wrong? Why did he betray me?"
Years of affection shattered into nothingness in that moment.
Aelia's heart felt as if it had been torn apart, engulfed in unbearable pain.
She believed her life had completely lost its meaning.
"Madam, please don't be too sad," Qin Si said, looking at Aelia with concern. "The master... he must be under some kind of spell. You shouldn't waste your tears on someone like him."
Aelia shook her head, feeling that she could no longer trust anyone.
She held Luna tightly, as if this tiny infant was her only support.
At that moment, the situation in the Magic Castle began to shift subtly due to Aelia's newfound knowledge of the truth.
The once peaceful inner courtyard started to stir with hidden currents; a storm was about to break.
Suddenly, Aelia stood up, wiping away her tears, her gaze turning resolute.
"Qin Si, please summon Lucius for me," Aelia's voice was cold and decisive, as if she had transformed into another person.
Qin Si paused for a moment before responding, "Yes, Madam."
What exactly was Aelia planning?
What was she calculating in her heart?
How would Leonard respond?
Everything was still an unknown...
Leonard's face shifted from panic to a pale white, beads of sweat forming on his forehead, soaking his meticulously groomed sideburns.
Aelia's gaze was icy, as if she were looking at a stranger.
“Aelia, let me explain...” he stammered, trying to approach her, but Aelia's cold stare pinned him in place.
“Explain?” Aelia scoffed, her voice as sharp as winter ice. “What is there to explain? Qin Si has already told me everything; what more do you have to say?” Leonard felt a wave of suffocation wash over him. He opened his mouth but could not produce any sound.
He had never seen such resolute determination in Aelia's eyes; they were like a sharp sword that pierced through his facade and reached deep into his soul.
Fear gripped him—a fear of losing everything.
“Aelia, I... I was confused for a moment...” he tried to salvage the situation, his voice trembling but sounding weak and futile.
“Confused for a moment?” Aelia interrupted him, her tone filled with mockery. “Can confusion justify betraying years of love? Can confusion allow you to establish another family outside?” Leonard hung his head in despair as Aelia slowly rose, walked over to Luna, and gently picked her up.
She looked down at the sleeping infant in her arms. “Leonard,” she said coldly, “from today onward, our bond is severed!” Holding Luna close, she turned and left, leaving Leonard standing alone in the center of the room like an abandoned doll.
He watched Aelia's retreating figure, his fists clenched tightly, Ailya's White Nails digging deep into his palm, blood trickling slowly through his fingers.
Suddenly, he raised his head sharply, a vicious glint in his eyes. “Aelia, do you really think you can leave me?” At that moment, Lucius pushed the door open. “Mother, did you call for me?”
