Everyone escorted the boss to an empty room on the second floor of the inn, Room 3. 0

To ensure mutual support, Xiao Xin also moved into Room 3 to take care of the boss. 0

A Liang and Sun Miaoyan walked over and saw that the boss was still unconscious. They comforted Xiao Xin while helping her out, casually closing the door behind them. The group returned to the dining room, discussing matters while waiting for Liang Xueli to return for further examination. 0

"Well, I just asked Xiao Xin. She discovered it at ten o'clock when she went to the dining room to clean, and everyone else said they hadn’t been to the dining room that morning," Xu Renbin said, adopting a detective-like demeanor as he meticulously recorded notes in a small book. 0

"The boss was attacked last night. According to Xiao Xin, when she first went to the dining room, the door was locked from the outside. 0

There are three keys in total: one with the boss, one with Xiao Xin, and another hanging in the common area of the inn, so anyone could access it and return it," Wang Gang continued analyzing. "This means..." 0

"This means anyone could be a suspect!" Sun Miaoyan interjected, her tone laced with a hint of chill. "The murderer could be one of us! Right now, there are only ten of us on this island; no one else has landed here. And now, the only emergency communication system on the island has been damaged by severe weather—our communication devices have no signal. We can only wait for the boat to pick us up on July eighth." 0

"But what about the motive?" Wen Ting suddenly asked, a look of confusion in her eyes. 0

"I don’t know. It could be revenge or perhaps..." Sun Miaoyan calmly analyzed, her arms crossed over her chest, exuding a sense of composure. "I remember when we entered, the boss's expression changed; perhaps that’s the answer." 0

"That’s impossible! The boss looked so kind and gentle; how could he..." Rongrong argued with a furrowed brow, her tone betraying unease. 0

"What do you know? It's easy to paint a tiger's skin but hard to depict its bones; you can know a person's face but not their heart. And what about that missing pendant?" Sun Miaoyan retorted sharply, a glint of intensity in her eyes. 0

"Could it be that the murderer was after money?" Rongrong pressed on stubbornly, seeking a reasonable explanation. 0

"Was there really any need to leave that note then?" 0

Sun Miaoyan replied coldly, "This is definitely not a money-driven scare tactic; it's a real struggle for survival. I trust no one." With that, she sat down with her knees hugged to her chest, fully embodying her strong-willed persona. 0

Seeing the tension among everyone, A Liang quickly stepped in to mediate. He raised his hands and said, "Our common goal right now is to find out who the murderer is, so we need to stick together and trust each other." 0

"Then we can only wait for Liang Xueli and Ling Song to return and see what they have found out." 0

Wang Gang lowered his voice, a hint of helplessness in his tone. "Right now, everyone is here, and there’s only one entrance to the hotel, visible from this spot. If the killer is one of us, they won't have the chance to strike as long as we stay together! Therefore, we must remain united from now on!" 0

Xu Renbin picked up the conversation with a touch of disdain in his voice. "As for those missing pendants, I don’t think it’s necessary to search for them anymore. Such small items can be easily hidden anywhere if someone intends to conceal them." 0

Since everyone present was a detective enthusiast, their discussions were articulate, leaving no room for A Liang to interject. However, with the appearance of that note, an unmistakable sense of distrust began to permeate the atmosphere. 0

"Only one person can leave alive. Now that the boss has been attacked, does that mean..." No one dared to finish the thought, a terrifying premonition hanging heavily in their hearts. 0

Indeed, on this mysterious survival island, everyone was competing against one another. The very essence of the survival game was competition; seeking treasure was also a contest. 0

Now, they were all secretly vying for that one precious spot for survival... 0

"Come on, everyone, let’s have some tea," Xiao Xin suggested, perhaps trying to alleviate the oppressive atmosphere by brewing a pot of chrysanthemum tea. The wind outside continued to blow, and Liang Xueli and Ling Song had yet to return. 0

Seeing this, A Liang hurried over to help prepare the teacups. "Hey? Xiao Xin, how did you hurt your index finger?" he asked with concern as he noticed her right hand. 0

"Hehe, it's nothing; I cut it while chopping vegetables," Xiao Xin replied with a smile, a hint of shyness on her face. 0

"Let me carry the tea tray for you," A Liang offered gallantly for once as they walked into the living room. "By the way, Xiao Xin, what’s your zodiac sign?" he asked after a moment's thought. 0

"I don’t know; my birthday is September 15," Xiao Xin answered with a look of confusion in her eyes. 0

"Oh, then you must be a Virgo," Wen Ting chimed in. 0

"Virgo? Not bad; I like that..." A Liang nodded dreamily as he set down the tea tray. 0

Nearby, Rongrong swiftly picked up the teapot and began pouring tea for everyone. 0

"The ladies are so virtuous," A Liang said with a smile as he pushed the tea tray to the center of the table. "Come on, everyone, one cup each to cool down." 0

He brought over the remaining two cups and handed one to Xiao Xin. "At your service, beautiful!" 0

There was a box of rock sugar on the table, and everyone took some. The rock sugar chrysanthemum tea was quite popular, and soon the box was nearly empty, while the tea was at just the right temperature. 0

Noticing that everyone looked worried, A Liang tried to lighten the mood and thought of a topic to discuss. Spotting Rongrong sitting nearby, he suddenly asked, "Hey? By the way, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before!" 0

"Really? Hehe, I don't have any memory of that," Rongrong replied with a smile, her eyes showing a hint of curiosity. 0

"A Liang, your pick-up line is a bit cliché, don't you think?" Wen Ting said with a smirk, teasing him slightly. 0

"No, no, I'm serious! I remember now; it was when we went to the welfare home to help out. I saw you there playing games with some kids!" A Liang exclaimed excitedly as he took a big sip of tea. 0

"Really? Were you there too?" Rongrong's face lit up with surprise. 0

"Hehe, yes! You're such a caring girl; I told you, I never forget a beautiful face!" A Liang wanted to say more, but suddenly felt something choking him. His vision blurred and then darkness enveloped him as he collapsed. 0

A Liang felt himself getting lighter and lighter, so light that he could soar into the sky, rising higher and higher. 0

He struggled desperately to descend, but it was futile; he continued to float upwards… 0
