On the fifth day of the seventh lunar month, it was sunny. 0

Suddenly, a hand grabbed A Liang. A Liang tightened his grip on it. 0

The hand was slender yet strong, pulling A Liang back to the ground. When he opened his eyes, he realized he was holding Wen Ting's hand. This usually carefree girl had tears in her eyes at that moment. "You idiot! You still dare to wake up!" 0

"Fool..." A Liang wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. He simply squeezed Wen Ting's hand gently, his gaze filled with gratitude. 0

"Well, not bad. You woke up earlier than I expected." That voice belonged to Liang Xueli. He was back! It was only then that A Liang noticed he was lying on a bed in a hotel room, already changed into clean pajamas. Looking at the clock on the wall and the rare sight of the sun outside, he realized it was already noon of the next day. 0

"You were poisoned; the toxin was in the tea you drank," Liang Xueli said, a hint of helplessness in his tone. "Fortunately, the poisoning wasn't too severe. I've already provided first aid; you're fine now." 0

"There were two others who were poisoned as well—Xu Renbin and Sun Miaoyan," Liang Xueli continued. "Toxins were also found in their teacups, identical to what you had. Luckily, the dosage wasn't lethal; they just fainted and couldn't move. Your toxin has just worn off, but theirs is deeper than yours, so they haven't woken up yet." 0

A Liang turned his head and saw Xu Renbin and Sun Miaoyan lying in this room as well, each on their own bed separated by curtains. Rongrong and Wang Gang were standing guard nearby. 0

"Thank goodness for Wang Gang," Rongrong said with a hint of admiration in her eyes. "I was so scared at that moment; he carried you all upstairs one by one while we could only watch." 0

"By the way, what happened to the hotel owner?" A Liang asked, concern creeping into his voice. 0

Liang Xueli paused for a moment before steeling himself to speak. "He’s dead! He was stabbed to death with a dagger. The time of death was roughly around when you were poisoned. Additionally, there's some bad news—Ling Song is missing in the forest..." 0

A Liang felt a heavy weight in his heart upon hearing this; things were becoming increasingly complicated. After eating something to regain his strength, he struggled to sit up with the help of Wen Ting and Liang Xueli and made his way into Room 3 of the hotel. 0

The boss's body lay on the bed, a small dagger, no larger than a palm, resting beside him. It was extremely sharp, capable of delivering a fatal blow to the heart. This was how the boss met his demise. 0

What was shocking was that the ruby pendant symbolizing Leo was placed on the corpse. 0

Next to it lay a note: "This is the first one! Remember, only one person can leave!" 0

Xu Renbin and Sun Miaoyan gradually regained consciousness. Accompanied by Rongrong and Wang Gang, they made their way to the lobby on the first floor. 0

Everyone gathered there. 0

"Alright, who can describe what happened when we were poisoned?" Sun Miaoyan, though weak, had not lost her detective insight; a glimmer of calmness shone in her eyes. 0

"I clearly remember that the three of you collapsed shortly after drinking from your cups," Wen Ting recalled. "And later, poison was detected in all three of your teas." 0

"Then it seems the tea itself wasn't poisoned, but rather the sugar cubes or the cups. The sugar bowl and cups were on the table; anyone could have put poison in them!" 0

A Liang pondered aloud. "Yes, I distinctly remember that everyone drank tea before I passed out. Yet only the three of us were poisoned. Was it random poisoning? What could be the motive behind that?" 0

"After you were poisoned, the three of us along with Xiao Xin checked each other immediately; we found no toxic substances or poisoning tools on us. We also examined you and found nothing," Wang Gang added from the side. "All of this was done while we were all present." 0

"Why do it this way?" A Liang asked, frowning in confusion. 0

"Because Wang Gang said that from now on, we should all be present for anything we do," Rongrong said softly. "That way, no one would suspect each other." 0

Suspicion, suspicion. Indeed, at this moment, suspicion is bound to arise. 0

The mutual distrust among everyone undoubtedly added fuel to the already tense atmosphere; perhaps the murderer hoped for just that. A Liang couldn't help but worry. 0

"Then, Wang Gang carried you, Xu Renbin, and Sun Miaoyan from the dining room to Room 4 of the inn in succession. This room has more beds," Wen Ting said to A Liang. "At that time, the other three of us followed him to help out. Each time it took no more than a minute to carry you over." 0

"Who discovered the innkeeper's murder first?" 0

"It was me!" Rongrong stepped forward, her voice trembling slightly. "After making sure you were all settled, while those three were taking care of you in the room, I remembered the innkeeper next door and pushed the door open since it had never been locked. I saw him dead there, blood splattered everywhere; it must have sprayed out when the dagger was pulled out. It was so gruesome..." 0

"Speaking of the constellation on that pendant, I just remembered—didn't Xiao Xin say that the innkeeper had just celebrated his birthday? It's early July now; he must be a Leo," Wen Ting added from the side, a hint of confusion flashing in her eyes. 0

"Constellation!" A Liang suddenly brightened up. "Everyone, let's share our constellations and check!" 0

Whether by coincidence or not, everyone’s zodiac signs turned out to be different! 0
