"Uh, sure." Xiong Sumei didn't expect Jiang Chen to suddenly change the topic, but she didn't refuse. For some reason, she felt that Jiang Chen was mysterious, as if he held some secret she wanted to uncover.
"Sumei, don't agree to him. This guy is probably trying to get close to you; you need to be careful," Chen Shuifeng quickly warned, feeling that Jiang Chen had ulterior motives.
"It's fine. I'm with you guys, right? Besides, I don't think he can beat me. I've studied Taekwondo," Xiong Sumei said, not viewing Jiang Chen as a dangerous person.
In the end, Jiang Chen got into Xiong Sumei's car and they headed towards Tianfu City. As for the Sacred Mountain and Lama Temple, after this incident, they would surely gain fame once again. The outcome was beyond Jiang Chen's expectations; he hoped that the Lama Temple would remain true to itself.
The drive back to Tianfu City would take about two thousand kilometers and require a day and a night. They estimated they would arrive in Tianfu City by tomorrow afternoon.
"You’re really strange. I’m just curious—aren't you cold wearing so little?" Xiong Sumei couldn't help but ask while driving.
"I'm not afraid of the cold. By the way, what wish did you make at the Sacred Mountain yesterday?" Jiang Chen replied.
"What do you want?"
"The Sacred Mountain might not be able to fulfill your wish, but I can help you achieve it. You gave me a ride twice; let’s call it even if I help you with one wish," Jiang Chen said.
Xiong Sumei was taken aback and turned to look at Jiang Chen. His serious demeanor made her initially amused expression fade.
"Really? I actually did make a wish," Xiong Sumei said. Although she hadn't formally wished for anything, seeing Jiang Chen's earnestness made her reconsider; she wanted to see how he would fulfill his promise.
"Go ahead," Jiang Chen urged.
"Well, I want to see it snow," Xiong Sumei said earnestly, as if it were a serious matter, which made Jiang Chen smile.
"Are you sure? I can only help you with one wish," Jiang Chen chuckled.
"Absolutely. I want to see snow right now," Xiong Sumei declared confidently while looking at the blazing sun and clear skies outside.
"Alright, I'll help you fulfill that wish," Jiang Chen replied with a smile and said no more.
Just then, they approached a tunnel. Once inside, Jiang Chen focused his mind and summoned the icy energy of nature, gathering it in the sky.
A minute later, as they exited the tunnel, Xiong Sumei was about to tease Jiang Chen for boasting when she was taken aback by the sight of snowflakes falling all around them.
"Is it really snowing?" Xiong Sumei exclaimed in disbelief as she quickly turned on the windshield wipers.
"Your wish has come true," Jiang Chen remarked casually.
"Heh, your luck is incredible; even the heavens are helping you," Xiong Sumei said with a wry smile as she regained her composure. She certainly didn't believe that this was due to Jiang Chen's intervention; it was merely a coincidence that it started snowing. The weather in high-altitude regions could change rapidly; sudden snowfall wasn't unusual. However, this coincidence left her feeling somewhat uneasy—why did even the heavens have to assist this guy in his deception?
"Luck is a form of strength too," Jiang Chen replied without further explanation. Whether it was luck or strength didn’t matter; after all, Xiong Sumei had drunk Medicinal Tea yesterday and today he had helped her fulfill a wish—he felt he had already treated her well.
Xiong Sumei let out a helpless smile, speechless in response, and fell silent.
