He touched my cold gaze, his hand frozen in mid-air, before finally dropping it in despair.
"Don't come looking for me again," I said, turning to leave, leaving him standing there, lost and dejected.
As I stepped out of the library, the afternoon sun was a bit blinding. I squinted, taking a deep breath.
Having shaken off Chen Mu Yang and Lin Weiwei, the air felt significantly fresher.
However, I knew that this was not over. Someone like Lin Weiwei would not easily admit defeat. She was merely lying in wait for the right moment to strike back.
And Chen Mu Yang... that look of unwillingness in his eyes made me cautious. It seemed he hadn’t completely let go of Lin Weiwei, and at the same time, he appeared to harbor some inexplicable feelings towards me.

No matter what they intended to do, I wouldn’t give them another chance to hurt me.
My path of revenge had just begun. It was time to send them some bigger "gifts."
The storm surrounding the Design Competition gradually subsided, and campus life seemed to return to its superficial calm. But I knew this was merely the calm before the storm. Lin Weiwei lurked like a venomous snake in the shadows, ready to strike at any moment. Meanwhile, Chen Mu Yang drifted around me like a restless spirit, his gaze complex enough to fill an essay.
I couldn’t be bothered with them; my focus was solely on studying and self-improvement. In addition to my major courses, I enrolled in several interest classes on finance and programming. Having suffered from information gaps and financial struggles in my past life, I needed to arm myself to the teeth this time around.
Opportunities soon presented themselves. The school collaborated with a well-known internet company to launch a "Tomorrow's Star" entrepreneurship support program, soliciting promising startup projects from the entire student body. Once selected, not only would there be startup funds available, but also professional mentorship and even a chance to be directly absorbed by the company.
This was tailor-made for me. In my past life, I had been oblivious to such information. Later on, I learned that this program had produced several young and successful entrepreneurs, one of whom had their project acquired by a large company for a high price.
Lin Weiwei seemed to have her sights set on this program in my previous life as well. I vaguely remembered her trying to rope Chen Mu Yang into creating something like a Campus Social APP and boasting about her "grand blueprint." Ultimately, her impractical ideas combined with her already tarnished reputation (though not nearly as bad as this time) led her to be eliminated in the first round.
But this time around, things were different. With Lin Weiwei’s reputation in tatters, she desperately needed an opportunity for redemption. This Entrepreneurship Plan was undoubtedly a lifeline in her eyes.
And I could use this to dig an even bigger pit for her.
I began preparing my project proposal. My idea was to create an Online Education Platform based on personalized recommendations specifically targeting college students, offering skill training, exam preparation assistance, and interest expansion courses. While not groundbreaking in my past life, it was certainly a cutting-edge concept for this era.
To avoid drawing attention, I kept a low profile. Most of my work was done either in my dorm or at a rented study room off-campus.
At the same time, I casually released some smoke screens.
For instance, while chatting with my roommate in the dormitory, I would "accidentally" mention that I was researching the feasibility of a Campus Second-Hand Trading Platform and believed there was significant market potential there.
Or when acquaintances asked what I was busy with at the library, I would "casually" say that I was helping a relative conduct market research on whether there were opportunities in campus food delivery services nearby.
I knew these comments would eventually reach Lin Weiwei’s ears through certain individuals.
Sure enough, within days I heard that Lin Weiwei was actively preparing her Entrepreneurship Plan proposal with a clear focus on the Campus Second-Hand Trading Platform. She had even convinced Chen Mu Yang to join her "team," with him responsible for technical development.
Heh, a dog will never change its ways. Lin Weiwei still has no thoughts of her own in this life; she can only fixate on what belongs to others.
