After I sent Haoshuai off, he was able to take the bus home by himself. I also took another bus back home, and on the way, I couldn't shake off the strange feeling I had about Haoshuai's expression earlier. Sigh! Never mind, as long as he is okay. When I got home and walked in, I saw my mom cooking. "Son, why are you back so late? How did the competition go?" she called out from the kitchen. I slumped onto the sofa and replied, "We won the competition. After it ended, I checked the time and since it was still early, I played in the park for a while longer. I'm exhausted." I said while pounding my fist on my arm. 0

My mom came out and said, "You deserve to be this tired for playing too much." I made a face at her and walked into my room. I planned to rest for a bit before continuing with the competition. I didn't know why I was putting myself through this every summer when others could stay home playing games, listening to music, or watching movies while we had to run around in the hot sun on outdoor courts. Isn't this self-torture? Who knows how far the Street Basketball Championship will go for the Three Musketeers this year. Although my usual goal with A Fei is to be the Defending Champion, to be honest, I really have no confidence. 0

The next day, I slept in until after nine in the morning. After stretching, my phone rang. When I picked it up, it was Situ Jianfei calling. "Hey, Jianfei, good morning," I said after answering. A cheerful laugh came from the other end: "Hahaha, Jie, look at the time! It's almost noon; it's not early anymore! Oh, I get it; you must have overslept!" Situ Jianfei joked with me. It seemed he was in a good mood today; perhaps it was because he had vented his frustration by teaching Haoshuai a lesson yesterday. But... they didn't seem to gain any advantage from it. 0

"Come out and hang out for a bit; I'm with Zhao Bin at the Xincheng Ice Cream Shop waiting for you," Situ Jianfei said. I wondered why these two suddenly wanted me to go out with them. "By the way, should we invite A Fei to join us?" I asked him. After thinking for a moment, Situ Jianfei replied, "Forget it; let's talk about some secrets that A Fei shouldn't know about, hehe." It sounded quite mysterious. I responded, "Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes!" With that, I got up to brush my teeth and wash my face before heading out the door. My mom called after me from behind: "Jie, where are you going? I'm still heating up your food!" Without looking back, I replied, "I'm not eating; my friends invited me out to play. I'll be back soon!" 0

When I arrived at the ice cream shop, Situ Jianfei and Zhao Bin were chatting in a private room. Their arms and faces had noticeable injuries, especially Situ Jianfei, whose face was swollen and bruised. I pushed open the door and shouted, "Jianfei, Young Master Zhao, I'm here!" They both looked up simultaneously. "Jie, you could have just come without scaring us like that; that's really mean," Zhao Bin teased me as we all laughed together. I sat down and asked, "What’s going on? Is there something important that we three men need to discuss in this sweet and cozy place?" I had already guessed it was related to yesterday's events. 0

"There's nothing major; we just wanted to hang out together since we haven't done that alone yet," Situ Jianfei replied with a smile. "Oh, so that's what it is! This isn't exactly where men discuss serious matters," I said with an odd smile at them. Zhao Bin stood up and playfully flicked my forehead: "You rascal! Let's go; I'm treating for lunch today! Where should we go eat? The last place I went to, Flying Hotel, was pretty good; let's go there!" "Sure! Since Young Master Zhao has spoken up, how can we refuse? Let's hurry; I'm starving since I haven't eaten breakfast yet!" I said as I pulled them toward the door. 0

After arriving at Flying Hotel, we entered a private room and ordered food. Once the server left, Situ Jianfei became serious: "Jie, how's Haoshuai doing? Is he okay? With such a heavy blow to his head..." As expected, it was related to yesterday's incident; however, I didn't think he would ask about Haoshuai. "He's fine; he just fainted for a bit—nothing serious at all. After getting an IV drip, I helped him out of the clinic; he should be fine after resting for a day or two," I told Situ Jianfei. Zhao Bin nodded along: "That's good to hear; when we went to the hospital yesterday, we were worried that Haoshuai might have amnesia or something." These two really have vivid imaginations; getting knocked on the head doesn't lead to amnesia. 0

"Jie, please don't tell anyone about what happened yesterday, okay? Keep it a secret for us," Situ Jianfei said softly. After hearing this, I quickly nodded: "Understood! Absolutely no leaks! Alright then, let's not talk about those unhappy things anymore—let's raise a glass! Otherwise, our beer will get warm." With that, I lifted my glass as they followed suit: "Cheers!" We downed our drinks in one go. It had been so long since I'd had alcohol; that bittersweet yet tempting taste was still strong—I really missed it! It had been an entire year since I'd touched it; if only I could say to it: Old friend, long time no see! 0

After drinking for a while, Situ Jianfei asked me: "By the way Jie, when does your Street Basketball Championship continue? We'll come cheer you on." "Tomorrow morning at 8:30 at Court No. 2 in Lake City Park. Whether we can make it into the top four depends on this match," I replied while chewing on some meat. Then Zhao Bin asked me: "I heard that Haoshuai is also participating in the Street Basketball Championship. When is their match?" "Oh, their team name is Mortal Team, and they also have their semi-final match tomorrow. We're not in the same bracket—they're in the upper bracket while we're in the lower bracket," I explained. 0

I casually added: "I estimate that Haoshuai won't be able to participate since the doctor advised him against strenuous exercise." "What?!" Both Situ Jianfei and Zhao Bin exchanged glances in shock. Situ Jianfei shook his head: "Sigh... This is too big of a blow for him; I'm sure he'll still want to participate." His tone conveyed helplessness—he clearly understood Haoshuai's character well. 0
