I thought about it and realized it was true. Sigh! Never mind, I should first appease Xia Ying. Without delay, I quickly dialed Xia Ying's number. "Hello, what do you want?" I could tell that Xia Ying was still a bit angry. I said to her, "Xia Ying, I've thought it over, and I agree with your opinion." I deliberately made my tone very heavy, expecting Xia Ying to respond happily. To my surprise, she sneered, "Xiang Jie, you really have some manly charm, huh? Am I your subordinate or your maid? Let me tell you, just because you agreed doesn't mean I'm going to agree!" Her tone was so harsh it could hurt someone. After hearing this, I got angry too. How could a tall guy like me, over 1.8 meters, be mocked like this? "If you don't agree, then forget it! I'm not begging you; I'm really too good for this!" With that, I hung up the phone. A Fei looked at me in shock and then shouted, "What are you doing?! Are you out of your mind? Do you want to go back to being single?!" 0

"I just got stupid from being in love, so what?!" My temper flared up. 0

A Fei widened his eyes and stared at me. "What's wrong with you? Did you not wake up properly this morning? Don't talk nonsense." I sneered, "I am that kind of nonsense person! I'm going home; you can stroll around here by yourself." With that, I turned and walked away. I really didn't know what Xia Ying was thinking. If I didn't agree to go public with her, she would be unhappy; if I did agree, she would act all high and mighty. Hmph! Taking advantage of me! 0

After returning home, I turned on the music on my computer and cranked the volume up to the maximum, making the whole house shake like an earthquake. My mom rushed in decisively and turned it down. "Why are you blasting the music? Are you trying to disturb the peace? Don't turn it up that loud; otherwise, you can forget about playing it." My mom said to me. I was already feeling frustrated, and when my mom said that, I immediately turned off the music and pushed my chair back to stand up. "If I can't play it, then fine!" With that, I headed for the door. My dad came in and stopped me: "What kind of attitude is this? Is this how you should talk to your mom? Hurry up and apologize!" 0

Hearing this, I turned around and said to my mom, "Mom, I'm sorry; I was wrong." Then I pushed the door open and walked out. After running into my room, I locked the door and lay on my bed sulking. Nothing felt right during this summer vacation. I opened my phone and logged onto QQ to check the schedule for the London Olympics. China's gold medals were soaring high, maintaining first place in gold count. However, when I opened the basketball section that I was most concerned about, it was a huge disappointment—two consecutive losses made their chances of advancing to the top eight bleak. Sigh... But thankfully the women's basketball team was performing well and advancing steadily. However, inadvertently seeing reports of heavy rain in Beijing causing casualties made me worry about Ya. Was she okay? Was she flooded? 0

I returned to QQ's interface and found that Ya was not online. I left her a message: "Ya, are you okay? I've heard that heavy rain is still ongoing in Beijing; I'm worried about you." Then I logged off and lay back on my bed with my eyes closed. There was still about a month left of summer vacation; how should I spend it? Did it mean I'd have to accompany A Fei to the school gym? 0

In the afternoon, I went out alone to stroll along the street. Watching the bustling crowd made me feel even more bored as I walked with my head down. Suddenly, I bumped into someone’s forehead. "Sorry! I've suddenly gone blind!" I weakly joked as I slowly raised my head and saw Haoshuai smiling at me. "Ah! Haoshuai! What are you doing here?" I said while rubbing my forehead. 0

Haoshuai laughed heartily: "I saw you walking over from across the street, so I stopped to wait for you to look up at me. Who knew you'd keep your head down and bump into me instead? That's quite dangerous." After hearing this, I forced a smile: "I just spaced out for a moment; you're out having fun too?" 0

"Yeah, I'm going to practice Taekwondo," Haoshuai replied. 0

I became interested: "Oh? Where is it? Is it a summer class? How much does it cost?" 0

Seeing my eagerness made Haoshuai ask curiously: "What do you mean? Do you want to join us?" 0

"Yes! That's exactly what I mean; it could help defend against wolves," I nodded vigorously. 0

Haoshuai widened his eyes as he looked me up and down: "Wait a minute; do you really need wolf defense?" 0

"Of course! There are quite a few female wolves nowadays," I joked. 0

Haoshuai punched me lightly on the chest: "Come on! It's enough if other girls don't bother with you; our summer class costs six hundred for a month; the teaching quality should be pretty good—give it a try." 0

"Great! I'll go back and tell my parents right away; I'll sign up tomorrow morning!" With that, I turned towards home but Haoshuai grabbed my arm: "Hey! Don't rush off yet; let's go check out our training first." He pulled me along to the Taekwondo gym. 0

After about ten minutes of walking, we arrived at the Taekwondo gym. Once inside, we saw many large frames hanging on the walls of the corridor. I asked Haoshuai if those people in the photos were impressive. 0

"These are all outstanding students from previous years," he explained. 0

As we walked further in, I spotted a familiar face—it was Haoshuai himself! It turned out he had long been one of the top students at this Taekwondo gym; that's impressive! 0

"Coach Jin! This is my friend Xiang Jie; he also wants to practice Taekwondo," Haoshuai quickly introduced me when he saw his coach. 0

I stepped forward and said, "Hello Coach Jin." Coach Jin was very tall—around 1.85 meters—with broad shoulders. Upon seeing me, he said sternly: "Hmm... You don't seem short yourself; your physical fitness doesn't look weak either—you should be able to train well." 0

"Coach, this friend of mine is a basketball player; his physical foundation is pretty good," Haoshuai added. 0

Coach Jin nodded: "Alright then; why don't you watch our class today?" 0

I sat next to Haoshuai as other students gradually arrived for class. Noticing that only Coach Jin wore a black belt while Haoshuai had a yellow belt and everyone else wore white belts made me curious: "Why is that?" 0

Haoshuai smiled: "The color of the belt directly relates to one's personal skill level—commonly known as rank. Black belt is the highest rank; Coach Jin has already advanced to fourth dan." 0
