Jiang Chen was leaning against his bed, reading a book when his phone rang. He took it out and saw a message from Jiang Jiewen, filled with a multitude of texts. He guessed it might be related to what she had mentioned during their phone call earlier that day. Curiosity piqued, he began to scroll through the messages.
"There's Yin Ling Zhi Jing in Longan Pool at Qingyi Mountain? That's quite unexpected," he remarked with a smile after reading the information.
He had visited Qingyi Mountain and Longan Pool during his childhood, but he never imagined that Longan Pool held such significance. "I'll go check it out tomorrow night," Jiang Chen replied.
Upon seeing his response, Jiang Jiewen hesitated for a moment before sending another message: "Can I go take a look with you tomorrow?"
"Sure," he replied.

Jiang Jiewen initially considered lying but was not skilled at it. After stammering for a while under her father's stern gaze, she decided to come clean. "Dad, I just wanted Jiang Chen to help you," she admitted. One of her motives was indeed to have Jiang Chen assist her father; in her mind, as long as Jiang Chen was involved, any danger would be mitigated.
"Nonsense! Do you really think he can help? Last night we had over twenty police officers and still couldn't handle those two. If he goes, he'll just be a burden! Tell him not to come. If he disobeys and interferes with our investigation, I will have to detain him according to the law," Jiang Shi said sternly.
"Uh, if he shouldn't go, then he won't. I'll tell him," Jiang Jiewen replied obediently on the surface but was internally frustrated. The Peng Family was large and influential with branches and businesses across various provinces; the Southeast Province branch was managed by Peng Shishan himself. However, as a son-in-law by marriage, every time he returned to Songnan's Peng Family, he couldn't escape hearing some gossip.
