The night was deep and dark, with flickering candlelight illuminating the solemn face of Xuanji Dao Ren in the backyard. He held the Peach Wood Sword, chanting incantations as the sword tip pointed at the unconscious Li Yun. Su Mu stood nearby, holding a talisman and vigilantly watching the surroundings. 0

At first, everything was calm. But as Xuanji Dao Ren's spell intensified, Li Yun's body began to tremble violently, emitting painful groans. A chilling Yin Han energy radiated from him, causing the temperature around them to plummet. 0

Xuanji Dao Ren, clad in a blue Daoist robe, stepped forward with the Seven Stars Step, wielding the Peach Wood Sword that glowed faintly with spiritual light. His eyes widened in anger as he glared at Li Yun, shouting, "You wicked creature, reveal your true form at once!" His thunderous roar echoed through the air like a clap of thunder, causing the surrounding leaves to tremble. 0

In an instant, Xuanji Dao Ren thrust the Peach Wood Sword towards Li Yun's chest with lightning speed. The sword shimmered with a faint light, seemingly containing boundless power, determined to pierce through this "wicked creature." 0

Li Yun's body tensed as if pulled by an invisible force, becoming as taut as a drawn bowstring. With this sudden change, his mouth involuntarily opened wide, unleashing a chilling scream that echoed through the skies. The sound pierced through souls and sent shivers down spines. 0

At that moment, a vague black figure shot out from within Li Yun like a bolt of lightning! It struggled in mid-air with an eerie and twisted posture, each movement accompanied by a sharp wind and piercing howls. The cries resembled those of an Evil Spirit wailing or an owl screeching—filled with endless resentment and malevolence—echoing hauntingly in the silent space. 0

"Indeed, it is the ghost of Luanzanggang!" Su Mu gasped internally, his sharp gaze piercing through the darkness to lock onto the black figure. The shadow flickered like a ghost, its form elusive and seemingly ready to vanish into the vast night. 0

As the shadow drew closer, Su Mu finally discerned its true appearance. The ghost's face was terrifyingly grotesque; its paper-white skin marred by deep bloodstains. Hollow eyes glimmered with an eerie red light that sent chills down one’s spine. A sinister smile curled at its lips, revealing sharp yellowed fangs that seemed ready to bite through flesh. 0

Moreover, a strong stench of decay emanated from the ghost, reminiscent of rotting fish and shrimp piled together. The odor was overwhelming, making it hard to breathe; even battle-hardened Su Mu couldn't help but frown. Judging by its appearance and scent alone, this ghost was undoubtedly malevolent and had likely harmed many innocent lives. 0

The ghost trembled in the darkness before Xuanji Dao Ren's Peach Wood Sword radiating mysterious light, as if facing a terrifying nemesis. Its already ethereal form began to shake violently as it exerted all its strength to escape this powerful binding force. 0

However, Xuanji Dao Ren would not allow it to succeed easily. This seasoned and powerful Daoist had long been prepared; the Peach Wood Sword in his hand moved like a lively spirit snake, tracing elegant yet deadly arcs in the air. Each swing carried fierce sword energy and righteous spirit that tightly ensnared the ghost, leaving no gap for escape. 0

The ghost emitted piercing screams that echoed harshly in the quiet night; yet even so, it could not alter its fate of being firmly trapped by the Peach Wood Sword. Xuanji Dao Ren's gaze was resolute and cold; he felt no pity for the struggling spirit. He knew well that if such an Evil Spirit were not completely eradicated, it would bring more disaster and suffering to the world. 0

“Su Mu, use your talisman!” Xuanji Dao Ren shouted. 0

Su Mu stood in place with a serious expression, tightly gripping the Mysterious Talisman in his hand, his gaze resolute and sharp. He took a deep breath and then suddenly threw the talisman. The moment it left his palm, it ignited into flames, as if lit by an invisible force. 0

In an instant, the talisman transformed into a dazzling beam of golden light, racing forth like lightning, directly aimed at the sinister ghost emanating an aura of malevolence. When the golden light collided with the ghost, a hissing sound pierced the air, followed by a shrill scream that shattered the night. 0

Struck by the sudden burst of golden light, the ghost trembled violently. The dense black mist surrounding it began to churn wildly, quickly illuminated and consumed by the golden radiance. As time passed, the ghost's body ignited like burning paper, flames spreading rapidly until they engulfed its entire form. 0

In the glow of the fire, one could clearly see the twisted and agonized expression on the ghost's face. Yet no matter how it struggled and resisted, it could not escape this overwhelming power. Ultimately, as the last flicker of flame extinguished, the ghost was reduced to wisps of black smoke that slowly ascended and gradually dissipated into the endless night sky. 0

Li Yun's body also ceased trembling, his breathing gradually stabilizing. Xuanji Dao Ren sheathed his Peach Wood Sword and let out a long sigh of relief. 0

“Master, is Young Master Li alright?” Su Mu asked. 0

Xuanji Dao Ren nodded. “The ghost has been exorcised; he will awaken soon. However, the lingering yin energy in his body has not been completely cleared; he will need some medicinal herbs for recovery.” 0

Su Mu hurried to prepare the herbs. He understood that while this ritual had concluded, his path of cultivation was still long and there was much more for him to learn. 0

The next morning, Li Yun awoke feeling significantly better. Although he had no recollection of what had happened the previous night, the sense of weakness had vanished. His mother was overjoyed, showering Xuanji Dao Ren and Su Mu with gratitude. 0

After sending off Li Yun and his mother, Xuanji Dao Ren turned to Su Mu and said, “Mu Er, this incident reminds us that the world is fraught with dangers and human hearts are unpredictable. We must not only cultivate ourselves but also learn to protect ourselves and those around us.” 0

Su Mu nodded solemnly, committing his master's words to memory. He knew that the weight of responsibility on his shoulders was growing heavier; he must work even harder in his cultivation to fulfill his duty of safeguarding Tian Ji Men. 0
