After successfully thwarting the Xuanming Sect's plot to poison Qingyuan Lake, Ye Qiu's tense nerves did not relax.
She stared intently at the surface of the lake, a vague sense of unease spreading within her.
"This matter is probably not as simple as it appears," Ye Qiu murmured to herself, her brow slightly furrowed as if deep in thought.

The officers swiftly handcuffed the men in black and orderly escorted them into police cars, racing towards the station.
Once the officers had left, Ye Qiu let out a slight sigh of relief, but her lingering doubts remained.
She turned to Su Mu, who was standing nearby, and asked, "Su Mu, what are your thoughts on this matter?"
Su Mu nodded thoughtfully and replied, "I also find it quite suspicious. The Xuanming Sect is determined to control the economic lifeline of Jianghai City; if they were merely sending these insignificant pawns to carry out a poisoning scheme, it seems too hasty and underestimating."
"Logically speaking, they should have sent out more formidable characters. But where are those true experts now?"

Li Wenxuan took a deep breath and slowly said, "Not long ago, those guys from the Xuanming Sect showed me a mysterious map. According to them, this map clearly marks an extremely hidden and unknown location."
"Oh? There’s such a thing? What makes this location so special?" Ye Qiu eagerly interrupted him.
Li Wenxuan swallowed hard and continued, "They told me that this place is the secret base of the Xuanming Sect and that it hides something extremely important and core to them."
"What?!" Ye Qiu and Su Mu were both taken aback, their faces displaying disbelief.
