"What do you think of Shen Li? Is it serious, like heading towards marriage, or just a casual relationship?" Jiang Chen asked.
"Of course it's serious. Shen Li is my first love, and I will take responsibility for her. Besides, she is truly exceptional; I'm worried I might not be good enough for her," Liu Ying replied earnestly.
"Then you can explain some things to her," Jiang Chen smiled, adding a teasing remark, "Liu Ying, your first love came quite late."
"Haha, Brother Jun, to be honest, I owe you a lot. If it weren't for you, I might never have had a first love in my life, let alone a goddess like Shen Li," Liu Ying laughed, though there was a hint of bittersweetness in his voice.
"Don't sell yourself short. Is there anything else?"
"That's all."
"Then let's go eat," Jiang Chen said, patting Liu Ying on the shoulder casually.
Jiang Chen naturally wouldn't interfere with Liu Ying's romantic matters. The main reason Shen Li liked Liu Ying was due to his status as "President Liu." However, Shen Li was indeed an outstanding woman; it's normal for her to have high standards. Overall, Jiang Chen had a good impression of Shen Li and felt that Liu Ying had not chosen poorly. If nothing unexpected happened, they could still reach the point of marriage and children.
Returning to the dining table, Liu Ying whispered to Shen Li, "I'll explain everything in detail when we get back."
Shen Li nodded. Clearly, knowing this "secret" meant she was considered one of them. The fact that Liu Ying could share this "secret" with her showed he truly trusted her, which touched Shen Li.
After years apart, no one at the table opted for soft drinks tonight. The guys drank white liquor while the girls had red wine. Unsurprisingly, Lin Bingbing had the best tolerance among the women; after all, she had started training and was no ordinary woman anymore.
Alcohol can lighten the mood; as they drank more, they talked more. The girls gathered around Lin Bingbing to gossip about the entertainment industry, and Lin Bingbing shared everything she knew without holding back.
Meanwhile, the four guys were enjoying their drinks and good food while chatting about various topics. Liu Ying spoke the most since he was essentially the host. Much of the conversation revolved around the company's current situation. Although Jiang Chen had already learned about it last time, others were still somewhat in the dark.
"By the way, our class monitor from university mentioned wanting to join our company? Brother Jun, what do you think?" Liu Ying asked.
"If he can be your class monitor, he should have some ability. But I think three of you are enough for now. If too many classmates join in, it could complicate things due to personal relationships. Most partnership companies end up going their separate ways eventually," Jiang Chen replied. Though he wasn't in business himself, he understood human nature well.
"Then we'll go with Brother Jun's advice," Liu Ying nodded.
The meal lasted until after eight in the evening, and everyone was feeling a bit tipsy.
"Well then, let's call it a night. Everyone should head back and rest; we can gather again when we have time," Jiang Chen said.
After saying their goodbyes, everyone returned home. Jiang Chen and Lin Bingbing went back to Tianyin Pavilion while Gao Kang and Wang Shun Yuan took their wives and girlfriends back to the hotel. They hadn't spent much time at the headquarters in Liu Fei City and hadn't rented a place to stay there.
