Unexpectedly, the opposing Power Forward stormed over to confront me, saying, "You just flipped me off, didn't you? You should let your parents teach you what manners are; your country wasted twelve years educating you." With that, he turned and walked away. I was left confused—what did he mean? I clearly waved my index finger, yet he thought I flipped him off? Did I just get insulted for no reason? "Hey, stop right there!" I reacted quickly and called out to him. I couldn't let him bully me without a fight. He turned back dismissively, "What? You want to apologize? No thanks, I'm too mature to stoop to your level." 0

I stepped closer and whispered in his ear, "Listen, f*** you! Understand?" After sneering at him, I turned to leave. Suddenly, I felt a kick from behind. Caught off guard, I stumbled but managed not to fall. "Why are you hitting people?" Ouyang shouted as he rushed over. The opposing players began to gather around us, and the referee immediately blew the whistle for a timeout. That kick really angered me; I could feel my eyes starting to redden. 0

I turned around and kicked the guy on the side of his thigh. Although he was a tall guy at nearly six feet three inches, his balance wasn't great. My sudden kick caught him off guard, and he squatted down. Following that, I executed a heavy spinning kick to his chest, knocking him down. Fortunately, some teammates came from behind to support him. "Jie, are you okay?" Ouyang asked me. Just then, the opposing players charged toward us; Tu Lei and Li Kanglin along with a few other hot-headed guys weren't intimidated and pushed forward. Kobe and Zhou Wenming from our bench also joined in; some were trying to break it up while others were arguing... The scene quickly descended into chaos, and the referees struggled to intervene. 0

Seizing the opportunity amidst the confusion, I charged at his groin with my knee, causing him to drop to the ground. At this point, the referees managed to push through along with some of our players who were trying to separate us. They ended up issuing ejections for both me and the opposing Power Forward. I was ejected? This was my first ejection in my basketball career! I quickly came to my senses and rushed over to plead with the referees. Kobe and others also tried to advocate for me, but the stern referees coldly rejected our pleas. 0

I helplessly shook my head as I walked off the court and sat in the stands. The opposing Power Forward was also helped by staff to sit across from me in the stands, glaring at me all the while! Serves you right for provoking me! Last year’s Taekwondo lessons finally came in handy; I'll kick you down! But I paid a heavy price for it too; I had no idea if there would be further penalties or suspensions. If so, that would be a huge loss since there was still more than a quarter left in the game. I worried about how my team would fare without their captain; if we lost because of this incident, I'd regret it deeply! Come on, team! 0

I thought Liu Xiao would continue fighting in my place next, but unexpectedly Teacher Qiu arranged for Kobe to take over as point guard again while Lu Yinghao came on board with Tu Lei playing forward. Our lineup changed to Kobe, Ouyang, Tu Lei, Li Kanglin, and Lu Yinghao. Hmm? This lineup is quite innovative! As the third quarter was about to end, we led Yuhai High School by three points at 85-82. The opposing Point Guard held the ball against Kobe and took a long-range shot just inside the three-point line; Kobe blocked it out of bounds as the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the third quarter. 0

This was my first time watching our team's game from this perspective and angle; all the players gathered together discussing strategies. Although I couldn't hear them clearly, I knew they were talking about things that didn't involve me. I finally experienced A Fei's heart-wrenching agony lying in a hospital bed—watching my team fight hard while being unable to join in felt terrible. 0

The fourth quarter began with minimal changes in our lineup; Kobe served as our backcourt engine while Zhou Wenming replaced Tu Lei. After we inbounded the ball, Kobe faced off against their Point Guard with a clear advantage. The Domain Sea's lineup and playing style reminded me of the "Bad Boy Legion" Detroit Pistons that created a "Cinderella story" back in 2004—they didn’t have flashy stars or renowned fame but were simply a group of high school students who played hard and trained diligently with winning as their goal. 0

Even though our players could pull off stunning dunks or beautiful layups, they couldn't match their patient grinding style of play. However, our stars like Kobe, Ouyang, and Zhou Wenming weren't pushovers either; Kobe contributed more through assists than scoring while Ouyang's three-pointers filled Yuhai High School's gymnasium along with Zhou Wenming's drives... With two minutes left in the game, we led Domain Sea by six points at 100-94 when their coach called a timeout for adjustments. 0

As both teams headed off the court during this break, they all looked at me simultaneously. I smiled and raised my hand in encouragement; they responded with smiles back at me—just like Yulin fans! I glanced over at Zhou Wenming sitting across from me; he seemed uncomfortable as he awkwardly crossed his legs. When he caught me looking at him, he shot me an intense glare as if he wanted to devour me—serves you right for throwing the first punch! 0

Just then, the gym doors swung open as Yuhai High School's fans flooded in en masse. Once seated in the stands, they began cheering loudly for Domain Sea! One sharp-eyed classmate spotted us sitting in the audience and exclaimed: "Hey? Senior Nie Long! Aren't you Team's starting Power Forward? Why are you sitting here... Ah! That guy too! He's Xiang Jie from Yulin's 'Three Swordsmen'! I've seen him play Street Basketball!" Then he turned back around and shouted at me again. 0
