Zhang Zihao's private jet was ready. Before her lay a dangerous temptation—if she nodded, she would see Lin Yue in just a few hours. 0

"Forget it," after much hesitation, Su Yao ultimately decided to accept Zhang Zihao's proposal and board his private jet to the United States. She stood up and stuffed her last jacket into her suitcase. 0

"Even if it's a trap, I have to go." Her eyes ignited with resolute fire. "I must see her safe and sound..." Su Yao murmured to herself, slamming the suitcase shut. 0

At that moment, the doorbell rang. 0

Peering through the peephole, Su Yao saw Zhang Zihao leaning against the doorframe, a satisfied expression on his face. 0

"It's me." His voice was filled with triumphant delight. "Are you ready?" 0

Su Yao opened the door, and Zhang Zihao, hands in his pockets, wore a smile that was confidently bordering on arrogance. "My plane is ready. The crew is waiting; we can take off anytime." 0

Su Yao simply nodded and turned to grab her suitcase and handbag. "Let's go." Her calm tone surprised Zhang Zihao. 0

"Wait a minute," Su Yao suddenly stopped and took out her phone to send a message to Su Yuyan: "Mom, I have an urgent matter and need to go abroad for a few days. Don't worry." 0

At the moment she pressed send, Su Yao felt a pang of guilt. She didn't mention America, Lin Yue, or Zhang Zihao because she knew that if her mother found out, she would surely try to stop her. 0

Upon receiving her daughter's message, Su Yuyan felt an immediate sense of unease. The message came too suddenly and was vague, completely unlike her daughter's usual style. 0

She immediately called back, but the phone rang only twice before it was hung up. Shortly after, she received another message: "I'm on the plane; I'll contact you when I land." 0

Confused, Su Yuyan wondered why her daughter, who had always been well-behaved and sensible since childhood, would suddenly leave without warning. 0

Anxiously, she dialed Su Yao's assistant Xiao Lin. 0

On the other end of the line, Xiao Lin was equally baffled. She mentioned that she had received a message from Su Yao that morning saying she needed to go abroad for a while and had canceled her recent schedule without specifying where she was going. 0

Su Yuyan tightened her grip on her phone. "Do you know who she's going with?" 0

"It seems... it seems to be Zhang Zihao," Xiao Lin replied. "Sister Yao said not to worry." 0

"Zhang Zihao?" Su Yuyan nearly screamed. "Didn't she say she hated that arrogant rich kid?" 0

"Yes," Xiao Lin's voice was filled with confusion. "Sister Yao has been acting strangely lately; she's often distracted as if something is troubling her." 0

After hanging up the phone, Su Yuyan anxiously stared at the screen, her heart racing. 0

She tried to recall any recent odd behavior from her daughter but couldn't understand why Su Yao would make such an unusual decision. 0

Inside the Gulfstream G650 private jet, luxury was suffocatingly evident. Beige leather seats, wooden finishes, marble coffee tables—every detail flaunted the owner's considerable wealth. 0

Su Yao sat by the window, her gaze stubbornly fixed on the receding ground below. 0

"Relax," Zhang Zihao said, holding up two glasses of champagne with a playful tone. "In just over ten hours, you'll be seeing your Lady Lin." 0

Su Yao took the glass, murmured her thanks, but didn’t drink; she simply placed it on the small table beside her. 0

Zhang Zihao tilted his head and scrutinized her. "You really love her, don’t you?" 0

The bluntness of his question caught Su Yao off guard for a moment. She didn’t respond immediately, but the emotions reflected in her eyes spoke volumes. There was worry, concern, and a steadfast light—an expression only love could bring forth. 0

"Love is truly marvelous," Zhang Zihao chuckled lightly, swirling his glass. "It can turn someone as rational as you into someone so reckless." 0

He paused deliberately, his gaze becoming meaningful. "It can also make her disregard everything, even turn against the whole world." 0

Su Yao glanced at him, still not understanding the deeper implications of Zhang Zihao's words. She had no idea that the "her" he referred to was Lin Yue, nor did she grasp the situation that awaited them. 0

"To true love," Zhang Zihao raised his glass, his tone laced with a hidden challenge. 0

Su Yao merely smiled politely without any intention of clinking glasses. Leaning slightly forward, she voiced the question that had been swirling in her mind: "Why are you helping me?" 0

"Because I like you," Zhang Zihao replied with a sincere smile. "You should know that by now." 0

Su Yao stared at him for a few seconds, a cold laugh rising in her heart. This man wouldn’t speak a single truthful word. She leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes, trying to rest during the long flight. 0

Yet Lin Yue’s face lingered in her mind, worry and anxiety flooding over her like a tide, preventing her from finding peace. 0

At that moment, the plane hit a severe bout of turbulence. 0

"What’s happening?" Zhang Zihao frowned as the captain's urgent voice crackled over the intercom. 0

"Sir, we’ve encountered severe turbulence; please fasten your seatbelt!" 0

Another violent jolt sent champagne glasses sliding off the table, shattering on the floor. 0

Su Yao gripped the armrest tightly, an ominous premonition rising within her. 0

Meanwhile, in the hospital, Lin Yue had just finished all her tests and eagerly grabbed Lu Chen's phone to dial Su Yao’s number. 0

The cold voice on the other end delivered an unsettling message: "The number you have dialed is not available…" 0

She tried again, but the result was still the same. 0

"What’s going on?" Lin Yue's face turned pale as her fingers instinctively tapped against the armrest of her wheelchair. 0

"What's wrong, Lin Yue?" Lu Chen asked, looking at the disappointment on Lin Yue's face with concern. 0

Lin Yue handed her phone back to Lu Chen and shook her head. "She turned off her phone." There was a hint of anxiety in her voice. "Do you think something might have happened to her?" 0

Her depression often led her to imagine the worst outcomes—what if Su Yao was in trouble, what if Su Yao didn't want her anymore, what if Su Yao was in danger... 0

"Don't scare yourself," Lu Chen said, patting her shoulder. "It could just be a signal issue, or maybe her phone ran out of battery." 0

Lin Yue nodded reluctantly. "I hope so." But deep down, she had a nagging feeling that something unexpected was about to happen. 0
