The guests at the banquet began to whisper among themselves.
"This is just like a TV drama!"

The room fell into an uproar!
Lin Meiling's face changed dramatically. "Wenwen, what nonsense are you talking? We are your biological parents! We even had a DNA test done!"
"DNA test?" Wang Xiaowen sneered, pulling out a stack of documents from her bag. "Are you talking about this?"
She held up the paternity test report high: "This is fake! A well-crafted false document!"
"Nonsense!" Chen Guoqiang was agitated. "How could we possibly be con artists? We have so much evidence!"
"Yes, there’s plenty of evidence, and the story you’ve concocted is quite touching," Wang Xiaowen said sarcastically. "But unfortunately, you’ve picked the wrong target."
Wang Xiaowen walked to the center of the banquet, raising her voice by an octave: "Everyone, in fact, a week ago, I received an anonymous letter from them claiming to be my biological parents and wanting to reunite with me."
I suddenly realized the truth.
“At first, I was shocked and even a bit shaken,” Wang Xiaowen continued. “But I couldn’t be sure if this was a scam, so I didn’t tell Dad, fearing it would worry him. I decided to investigate it myself.”
She pulled out a thick folder from her bag. “This is the result of my investigation with the help of a senior from the law school.”
Wang Xiaowen opened the folder and pointed to the photos inside. “This is Lin Meiling and Chen Guoqiang’s true identity—Lin Xiuying and Chen Guangtian, professional con artists with records of crimes across the country!”
“Nonsense!” Chen Guoqiang—no, it should be Chen Guangtian—said, his face turning pale. “We have identification! We have proof of assets!”
“It’s all fake,” Wang Xiaowen said calmly. “You used photo editing techniques to create these images, hired someone to make fake documents, and even forged paternity test reports. Did you think I wouldn’t investigate?”
She then took out several printed news articles. “These are reports on scams from the past five years. Your common tactic is to impersonate long-lost relatives, gain trust, and then steal money. Just last year, you committed three scams in Shandong, Hebei, and Guangdong, defrauding victims of over eight million!”
The room fell into an uproar; everyone was in disbelief at what was unfolding before them.
“Your real target isn’t about reuniting father and daughter at all.”
Wang Xiaowen stared directly at them. “You’ve set your sights on my dad’s retirement savings accumulated over twenty-five years!”
I was so shocked that I couldn’t speak. Indeed, I had withdrawn all my savings these past few days to prepare a dowry for Wang Xiaowen...
“Absurd! Absolutely absurd!” Lin Xiuying screamed. “Wenwen, we are your biological parents! How can you believe these baseless accusations?”
“Oh?” Wang Xiaowen sneered. “Then what about this?”
