"No, perhaps if we move a bit further, we'll find it." Xiao Hei stood at the bow of the ship, feeling incredibly bored over the past few days. His interest in the Lava Sea was waning, but the thought of food quickly reignited his enthusiasm. For him, the treasure that the boss spoke of, which had a scent, equated to a feast. Moreover, the monotonous colors of this world made him feel comfortable, seemingly aiding in the transformation of his Bloodline. Overall, nothing was more important than eating. 0

Looking at the bag filled with the Confusion Pearls in the cabin, Mo Wen still hadn't figured out how to deal with them. He had plenty of high-level Storage Devices, but if he put the Confusion Pearls inside one, their power might make it easy to store them but difficult to retrieve them later. If they unleashed their power while inside, he could forget about ever opening that Storage Device again. Placing them in the Square Inch World was even less feasible; there were still many living creatures in there, and those brightly colored birds smelled delicious. As Xiao Hei put it, putting the Confusion Pearls in there would definitely affect their taste. For now, keeping them in the bag seemed like the safest option. He had more than enough bags—around a hundred—obtained from the three palace attendants. Mo Wen was quite surprised when he counted them; it seemed these three were indeed here to kill and rob. Killing them was certainly justified as it eliminated a significant threat for other adventurers. 0

"Not good!" A sudden disturbance on the surface of the sea jolted Mo Wen awake. The aura emanating from it made it clear that there was no need to consider fighting; fleeing was the only option. He quickly turned the ship around and sped away. The ship moved so fast that it leaped across the surface of the sea, creating a long tail wave as thick lava was pulled behind. 0

"Boss, why is that thing chasing us? Does it want to steal the Confusion Pearls?" Xiao Hei asked from the stern as he watched a Demon Beast jumping through the lava in pursuit. The Demon Beast had scales all over its body and resembled a fish but had a lion-like head, making it look rather comical. However, Mo Wen didn't have time to mock it; he was already at his speed limit. This pace only allowed him to keep up with the Demon Beast behind them, but he couldn't maintain this speed indefinitely. If he slowed down, their situation would become dire. 0

Xiao Hei's words reminded Mo Wen—could this Demon Beast really be drawn by the Confusion Pearls? It seemed unlikely since Xiao Hei had guaranteed that his sense of smell was exceptionally keen; no beast could surpass him in that regard. Moreover, even with the bag sealed, Xiao Hei couldn't detect any scent. 0

"Boss, if it comes down to it, let's just give it the pearls," Xiao Hei suggested when Mo Wen didn't respond. 0

"Xiao Hei, get ready!" Mo Wen said as he grabbed the bag and leaped off the ship toward the Demon Beast below. In mid-air, he opened the bag and dove toward the lion-headed fish-like creature. 0

The Demon Beast below was momentarily stunned as this seemingly insignificant food item flew toward it. Its form twisted in confusion just as an unusual force enveloped it. 0

"Boss! You're still alive? I thought you had thrown yourself into its jaws!" When Mo Wen climbed back onto the deck, Xiao Hei rushed over. He had only heard Mo Wen tell him to prepare before he realized what was happening—the boss had flown toward the Demon Beast—and then a wave of confusion washed over him. He fainted and woke up later to find that both the confusing power and the Demon Beast were gone along with Boss Mo. 0
