“Let’s hope so. As long as they don’t embarrass us Huaxia soldiers,” Yang Jigong replied nonchalantly while still focusing on the plane with the binoculars.
Suddenly, Yang Jigong's expression changed dramatically.
“Oh no!” he exclaimed in alarm because he clearly saw a young man grabbing Zeng Xianyi with one hand and holding onto a woman with the other as they jumped from the plane. It appeared that neither of them had parachutes.
Yang Jigong's shout drew everyone's attention on the warship, and all eyes turned skyward. They saw a small black dot growing larger; when they finally recognized it, they realized it was three people.
“Everyone be careful! They’re coming down on our side—protect the Chief!” The captain shouted, and a group of sailors pulled Yang Jigong aside. They all assumed that these three had fallen from the plane and would surely be bloodied upon landing on the warship.
However, what happened next left everyone dumbfounded. The three individuals floated down onto the deck of the warship as if they were not jumping from thousands of meters high but rather from just one meter above—landing completely unharmed.
“No way! Am I seeing things?”
“Someone tell me this is real!”
“It’s real; we’re not dreaming.”
The sailors were utterly shocked; although they struggled to accept it, the evidence was right before their eyes. Yang Jigong’s mouth dropped open wide enough to fit an egg inside as he stood there in disbelief for quite some time.
Since Jiang Chen landed on the deck, the entire warship fell into a silence that lasted for over ten seconds. Qin Xiaoya and Zeng Xianyi felt their hearts stop for those moments until their feet were firmly planted on solid ground, allowing them to finally breathe again.
Just now, that was incredibly thrilling. The sensation of weightlessness left a deep impression on me.
Coming back to my senses, Zeng Xianyi suppressed the fear on his face, making himself appear quite calm, as if such maneuvers were nothing new to him.
"Ahem, Ji Gong, how's the situation here?" Zeng Xianyi broke the silence.
"I made it very clear in the report to the higher-ups yesterday. You should already know, so why ask again?" Yang Jigong replied flatly, harboring a deep-seated prejudice against Zeng Xianyi.
