"Creak!"
Suddenly, a sharp sound of the door hinge echoed, and although no movement was seen from Jiang Chen, the door swung open.
Tie Shan and Tie Luan were momentarily stunned, their minds going blank as the grand scene of the Sea God Hall unfolded before them.
Before their eyes lay a vast expanse, with azure tiles that appeared to be coated in a layer of blue glaze, shining like a mirror. In the center of the hall stood a massive statue of the Sea God, seemingly cast in gold, radiating brilliance. Its eyes were inlaid with gemstones that emitted a captivating light.
On the ground beneath the statue sat about twenty individuals, their Spiritual Energy flowing in harmony with the grand formation surrounding them. It seemed they were aware that the formation was weakening, so they were using their own spiritual power to mend it and delay its collapse.
Startled by the unexpected intrusion, these individuals quickly regained their composure and turned to look back. The light from outside was quite intense, making it difficult to see anything but three shadowy figures backlit by the glow.
"You three have some nerve! Do you not know this is a forbidden area? You cannot enter!" an elder scolded.
In response to the elder's reprimand, two of the figures visibly flinched, but the one standing in front remained calm. He stepped forward, crossing the threshold into the hall.
"Stop!" The elder shouted again, his tone sharp as thunder.
Yet the figure seemed to disregard him entirely, continuing onward into the hall without pause.
"Tie Shan, Tie Luan, what are you two doing standing there?" Suddenly, another elder rose abruptly and shouted.
Hearing this voice, Tie Shan and Tie Luan could no longer contain their anxiety and dropped to their knees.
This elder was Tie Yinghu, their master. His face was gaunt and devoid of flesh, giving him a very lean appearance.
"Master, we... we came in with this Mr. Jiang," Tie Shan hurriedly explained, though his words felt weak and unconvincing.
"Mr. Jiang? What Mr. Jiang? I have never seen him before," Tie Yinghu replied coldly, his expression as hard as iron. He usually appeared grim, but now his anger made him even more intimidating.
"He... he is..." Tie Shan stammered hesitantly, struggling to find his words.
"I came from outside; naturally, you wouldn't recognize me. But don't worry; we will get to know each other soon enough," Jiang Chen interjected confidently.
Seeing Jiang Chen openly acknowledge his origins made Tie Shan feel a chill run down his spine.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, the expressions of those present turned serious. Tie Yinghu's face changed color as he stepped forward; having his disciple associated with an outsider would raise concerns among others.
"Did you not hear me when I told you to stop?" Tie Yinghu said sternly as he approached Jiang Chen.
"It’s not that I didn’t hear you; it’s that I don’t want to stop," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
"You dare to be so arrogant in front of me!" Tie Yinghu's brows furrowed in anger.
Tie Yinghu had a violent temper, and at that moment, he was eager to distance himself from Jiang Chen. After all, his disciple had brought an outsider into their midst. If others speculated, they might think he was colluding with someone from outside, which could lead to accusations of betraying the Sea God—something Tie Yinghu could not afford.
"Master, don’t!" Seeing his master act unexpectedly, Tie Shan and Tie Luan quickly called out to stop him.
