Xin Ku Yang noticed Jiang Chen's relaxed demeanor, as if he were dismissing the entire Mountain and Sea Secret Realm. A mix of emotions surged within him.
Jiang Chen's strength was indeed unfathomable, leaving Xin Ku Yang in awe. Yet, when Jiang Chen claimed not to regard the entire Mountain and Sea Secret Realm with any seriousness, Xin Ku Yang felt it was overly exaggerated and arrogant.
The Mountain and Sea Secret Realm was a vast world; although Xin Ku Yang was at the Foundation Establishment Stage, he would seem insignificant within it.
"Mr. Jiang, you really have a way with jokes," Xin Ku Yang said, unsure of how to respond, forcing a laugh.
"Chieftain Xin, I’m not one for jokes," Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
"Uh, heh..." Xin Ku Yang couldn't directly accuse Jiang Chen of boasting. However, he felt compelled to remind Jiang Chen of the reality of the situation. After all, in Xin Ku Yang's eyes, they were somewhat "brothers."
It was rare for a strong individual to emerge on Earth; it would be a pity if arrogance led to their downfall.
"Mr. Jiang, may I ask what realm you currently reside in? Foundation Establishment Stage or perhaps even Golden Core Stage?" Xin Ku Yang inquired, his gaze fixed intently on Jiang Chen, genuinely curious about his level of cultivation.
"Chieftain Xin, how many cultivation realms are you aware of?" Jiang Chen asked in return.
"Uh, according to our Sea God Clan's ancient texts, cultivation is divided into Qi Refinement Stage, Body Tempering Stage, Foundation Establishment Stage, Golden Core Stage, Yuan Ying Realm... Beyond that, I’m not too sure. Our Sea God Clan had a great practitioner at the Yuan Ying Realm in ancient times," Xin Ku Yang explained proudly when mentioning his clan's Yuan Ying Realm practitioner.
Indeed, achieving the Yuan Ying Realm on Earth was quite remarkable even during ancient times.
Jiang Chen smiled lightly and continued from where Xin Ku Yang left off. "After the Yuan Ying Realm comes the Out-of-Body Stage, which includes Divine Realm, Integration Stage, Great Ascension Stage, and Transcendence Realm."
Xin Ku Yang was left speechless, staring blankly at Jiang Chen as he pondered the implications of his words. Afraid he might forget them, he quietly repeated them to himself.
"Mr. Jiang, you truly have extensive knowledge! I feel inadequate in comparison. I suspect you must be at the Golden Core Stage," Xin Ku Yang remarked.
It seemed most reasonable for Jiang Chen to be at the Golden Core Stage; as for the Yuan Ying Realm—Xin Ku Yang didn’t dare even to think about it.
With his assumption that Jiang Chen was at the Golden Core Stage, Xin Ku Yang began addressing him with honorifics. Although Jiang Chen appeared younger than him, in the world of cultivation age mattered little compared to strength; a powerful individual deserved respect regardless of their years.
"Golden Core Stage?" Jiang Chen chuckled as he savored those words with amusement and a hint of nostalgia.
"To be honest, I’m not quite at the Golden Core Stage yet," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
"Then you must be at the Foundation Establishment Stage," Xin Ku Yang replied, his tone reflecting both relief and inevitable disappointment.
"If you truly are at the Foundation Establishment Stage, it might give Xin Ku Yang a glimpse of hope for reaching that level," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
"What's different about your Foundation Establishment?" Xin Ku Yang asked almost instinctively, but immediately felt it was an abrupt question.
"That's not something I can elaborate on," Jiang Chen replied.
"But, Mr. Jiang, you are merely at the Foundation Establishment Stage. Why would you dare to challenge the entire Mountain and Sea Secret Realm? Do you think the people within the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm are incapable of reaching even the Foundation Establishment Stage?" Xin Ku Yang inquired.
