"There are many incredible things in this world, Chieftain Xin. You need not be so astonished," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.

"There are exceptions to every rule; I am that exception," Jiang Chen paused before continuing.

"Whether you believe it or not is not particularly important for either of us. Now, let’s continue drinking and not discuss these matters. I'm curious about how this place came to be. Could you tell me about it, Chieftain Xin?" Jiang Chen shifted the topic.
"Of course," Xin Ku Yang was willing to let go of Jiang Chen's earlier boastful claims. Since Jiang Chen had previously provided him valuable insights into cultivation, there was no reason for Xin Ku Yang to hold back now. Moreover, sharing the origins of this place with Jiang Chen would be harmless.
"I'm all ears," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
"This place actually existed during ancient times; however, back then it was not underwater but rather an island inhabited by our Sea God Clan. Later on, the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm appeared, causing chaos across the world as countless cultivators rushed to seek opportunities within it. After all, the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm was like a paradise for cultivators. Several sects shamelessly extracted Spiritual Veins from Earth and brought them into the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm. With the Spiritual Veins taken away, Earth's Spiritual Energy could no longer circulate, leading to turmoil as landscapes shifted and disasters struck. The land split apart, oceans surged violently, and humanity fell into crisis. That period marked a dark age on Earth; unfortunately, there are few records about it today, making it difficult to verify that dark history."

At this point, Xin Ku Yang paused, raised his cup to clink with Jiang Chen's, and took a sip of wine.
After drinking, Jiang Chen chuckled and said, "Chieftain Xin, even if your clan has Yuan Ying experts among you, I doubt they could establish a formation to hide an island beneath the sea amidst such shifting terrain."
