“Tsunami!” The crew on the United States warship looked up in shock at the towering wave, which loomed like a high wall.
With a rush, before Bai Erxun and the others could react, the massive wave crashed down, its tremendous force sending everyone on the deck tumbling into the sea.
The warship did not capsize; only Jiang Chen remained standing on the cannon, calmly observing the scene.
The personnel on several other escort ships were left dumbfounded. They dared not fire their cannons, as Jiang Chen was standing on their own warship; they couldn’t possibly attack their own ship.
Surprisingly, Bai Erxun and his group of Americans had decent resilience. Instead of sinking to the bottom, they floated on the surface, bobbing up and down in the water.
However, their faces were filled with terror; even the imperious Bai Erxun looked blank.
Jiang Chen gazed indifferently at Bai Erxun struggling in the water before transforming into a beam of light and shadow, vanishing once more.
“Disappear from My Young Master’s sight within half an hour; this is your last chance,” Qin Xiaoya’s voice echoed through the broadcast.
Jiang Chen returned to the Huaxia warship, sitting in a chair with an expression as calm as if nothing had happened.
On Huaxia’s side, aside from Zeng Xianyi, Ye Xiaoying, and Qin Xiaoya, everyone else was left speechless.
Suddenly, a torrential rain began to pour over the sea.
The waves grew even more tumultuous as the dark sky obscured visibility ahead.
Jiang Chen remained seated in his chair, but it seemed as if an invisible barrier surrounded him, shielding him from the wind and rain.
The downpour lasted for ten minutes before Xiao Lu arrived. It wasn’t until half an hour later that the storm subsided, and clear skies returned with warm sunlight dispelling the chill.
“Master, they still haven’t left,” Qin Xiaoya remarked as the sea mist dissipated and the waters opened up. However, her brow furrowed slightly.
The half-hour deadline had passed, yet those from the United States had not departed. Their warship remained anchored in place without any sign of leaving.
“It seems they are preparing for action. Although their ship hasn’t moved, all their cannons have,” Zeng Xianyi said with a faint smile.
Only then did Qin Xiaoya notice that all the cannon barrels on those ships were aimed toward them. With a single command, at least a hundred shells could be fired their way.
Yet Qin Xiaoya felt no fear; a mocking smile played at her lips. The Americans were truly courting death. They thought they could threaten her master here without realizing he had already shown restraint earlier.
Bai Erxun stood on the deck, his face devoid of fear now; only gloom and anger remained. Despite Jiang Chen's mysterious powers, Bai Erxun was no pushover. He refused to believe that his shells and torpedoes couldn’t deal with one person.
To be honest, if hundreds of shells and torpedoes were to be fired together, Jiang Chen would remain unafraid; however, it would inevitably endanger those on Huaxia’s side.
Jiang Chen's expression turned icy.
He had been reluctant to take action earlier, not wanting to expend his spiritual energy. After all, great destructive power required a strong source of spiritual energy to support it. So, he had only slightly displayed his abilities, hoping to intimidate this group of Americans. Yet sometimes, even when there is a path to heaven, people refuse to take it; and when there is no door to hell, they still try to break through.
"It would be best if you don't move," Bai Erxun said with a cold smile. "There are a total of two hundred and forty-three cannon barrels aimed at you. The moment you make a move, those cannons will fire. Even if your body were made of steel, you wouldn't be able to withstand it. Besides, you wouldn't want to drag others down with you, would you?"
