"Do you really think this will stop me?" Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
"I believe it can," Bai Erxun replied confidently. He had been caught off guard by Jiang Chen earlier, but now he was fully prepared. Beneath the sea, submarines were on standby. No matter how powerful Jiang Chen was, could he really block all the cannons in just one second?
"Bai Erxun, do you think you're the only one with torpedoes and shells? If you fire, our Huaxia's shells are not to be underestimated," Yang Jigong shouted.
Both sides were at a stalemate; neither dared to fire first. Once the cannons were unleashed, the consequences would be unpredictable. Despite Yang Jigong's bravado, he felt a twinge of concern.
"Mr. Jiang, please, whatever you do, don't move. Bai Erxun is someone who means what he says; he will fire," Yang Jigong urged Jiang Chen earnestly.
Zeng Xianyi remained silent, her expression grave. While Jiang Chen might not fear the shells, they couldn't forget that there were ordinary people around. The merciless nature of artillery meant that everyone's safety rested solely on Jiang Chen's shoulders.
Zeng Xianyi glanced at Jiang Chen, whose face was serious and heavy with concern. It seemed that even Mr. Jiang had his worries.
"Don't worry, I won't move," Jiang Chen said with a slight smile.
Yang Jigong let out a sigh of relief and quickly spoke over the radio, "Bai Erxun, Mr. Jiang has assured us that he won't move. Don't act impulsively; I suggest we sit down and talk this over again."
Hearing Yang Jigong's words, Bai Erxun turned to those beside him and said, "See? When faced with someone tough, we must adopt an even tougher stance."
Just as Bai Erxun finished speaking, dark clouds gathered in the sky, blocking out the sunlight. He looked up at the sky.
"This damn weather is really troublesome," Bai Erxun cursed.
After cursing the weather, he dismissed it; unpredictable weather was normal at sea. Rain wouldn’t affect artillery fire—this was the benefit of technology.
"General Yang, I see no need for negotiations anymore. The treasure at the bottom of the sea is unclaimed; whoever gets it owns it. At this point, I don't even see a reason to share," Bai Erxun sneered.
Yang Jigong frowned, nearly throwing down the radio microphone in frustration. He had already been extremely displeased with Bai Erxun's earlier suggestion to share the treasure; now Bai Erxun was even more brazenly claiming it all for himself.
"This is infuriating! Stalemates like this won't work... Wait, the sky has changed again; it's going to rain. This time it truly is heaven helping us," Yang Jigong said angrily before suddenly feeling excited as he noticed the increasingly dark sky.
Although heavy rain wouldn't stop artillery fire, it could at least disrupt the enemy's visibility.
"General Yang, it's not heaven helping us; look again—it's not rain but snow," Qin Xiaoya suddenly laughed.
Yang Jigong focused his eyes and saw large snowflakes beginning to fall from the sky. Strangely enough, the snowfall only covered the area where the United States warships were located. The flurry of snowflakes fell as if someone was dumping goose feathers from above; standing in it, visibility dropped to less than a meter.
"What... what is happening?" Yang Jigong was struck dumb, as if hit by lightning.
Zeng Xianyi was also momentarily bewildered, but eventually realized that this must be the divine ability of Mr. Jiang.
Qin Xiaoya smiled without speaking. If she hadn't witnessed Jiang Chen's divine ability in the snowy courtyard the night before, she would probably not have guessed that this heavy snowfall was created by her young master.
