The warnings from Qin Xiaoya and Zeng Xianyi had cracked a hole in Jin Jiangming's psychological defenses. Although he had no idea who this young man was, it was clear from Qin Xiaoya and Zeng Xianyi's attitudes that this young man was likely someone of unimaginable significance.

If the Heavenly Mechanism Twin Rings fell into Cao Yuanfang's hands, Jin Jiangming would truly lose everything without gaining anything in return and would be powerless against Cao Yuanfang. But if they fell into the hands of Qin Xiaoya and her group, perhaps there could still be room for negotiation since he had no grievances with them and held no leverage over them; their positions were equal.
Jin Jiangming turned and headed to his study to retrieve the Heavenly Mechanism Twin Rings while the remaining people in the room harbored their own thoughts.
